The director of Last Chance U and Cheer has come out with a new netflix docuseries on Ohio Valley Wrestling. I finished watching it yesterday and thought it was really well done.

I thought it was pretty solid and I probably empathize with the owners a bit more than most. I mean, the promotion probably would've died without their investment and it seemed like they gave Al and Co. quite a bit of leeway with what they wanted to do, but at the end of the day, they also needed to try some fresh ideas to try and get new eyeballs watching.

I'm kinda surprised Hollyhood Haley J isn't doing something bigger. She seems quite talented at this, but maybe is too unreliable and difficult to work with?

So I've listened to Matt Jones radio show for about a decade now. This sounds absolutely batshit crazy, but he decided to buy OVW a little after he decided not to run against Mitch McConnell. Matt was the one that initially pitched the idea to Netflix. I think Haley J has got some tryouts but don't know it'll it has amounted to anything

I don't know if they will get a season 2 or not, but OVW has sold out their weekly show for weeks now, when they never did before.

So State Senator David Yates is one of the two senators to put forth to declare 2/16 as OVW day for it's success on Netflix.
