Who's the resident WWE history whiz here?

It depends how far back you wanna go. Most here know WM1-present since the active users here are mid-20's to late 30's. Dynasty posts about things pre-WM1 in the "what are you currently watching" thread, so I'd assume he knows a bit more from that era than the majority here. He doesn't post much in this section though and I don't think he's ever posted itt before.

True North is our resident PEEHS champion and that takes quite a bit of deep cut knowledge to pull off.

I fear that adopting a kitten was a terrible mistake, and I say that despite the fact that my cat is an absolute sweetheart that is probably more pleasant than an overwhelming majority of cats.

Holy **** dude, go to ****ing sleep. At least infants will do that much despite the fact that infants are glorified high-maintenance plants masquerading as people for the first year or two.

Much like infants, the cat will adapt to your sleep cycle eventually.

But as Tom Petty says, waiting is thhe hardest part.

I've had two different colleagues come to my office this morning to ask how life with the cat was going (I adopted him two weeks ago today, so it's still something of a novelty). I said "he's a pain in the ass." Their reactions indicate that I was supposed to say "fine."

Anyway, I'm not giving up hope that I'll eventually be happier for having him, but this initial adjustment period is just exhausting.

An ADORABLE pain in the ass.

That would sort of blunt the impact of my answer. I save my hedging for my legal opinions and my werewolf reads.

What about teejayC? I was reading through the Hall of Fame draft thread and he seems fairly knowledgeable about wrestling history.

Most of us are fairly interchangeable in terms of historical knowledge, teejay included. We’re knowledgeable but not prodigious. Some are better with some eras than others. Moorobot was especially strong but seems to not be around these days.

I didn’t start watching until the early 90s so most of the stuff I know before that is through research which is mostly easily accessible through the internet, as well as watching a lot of old network stuff. (I went through a stage where I was really interested in wrestling history). For more obscure older stuff Dynasty is probably your man.

I’ve had cats for years and while I do love them they still can be a pain in the ass.

Same story w/ me! Read Capitol Revolution by Tim Hornbaker last yr and it further sparked my interest in early WWE history. It's cool to run into others who know about it (or were even watching back then). But the reason I ask is I wanted to know if you'd be interested in submitting nominations for the WWE-based HOF on my site.

Made me smile to see this update on the POG Politics thread without having to actually open it.

Tapatalk does have its useful features.

that was the most correct thing posted in that thread (by anyone other than me obviously)

I hate myself and have no self control.

We've got a cat also; its only modes are "eat" and "lay around", with a side of "walk from where it eats to where it lays around". It's not the cat's fault, it was used as a university food research animal for the first few years of its life before we adopted it.

No pictures; if you need that just basically picture a calico Kathy Bates.

Artie: “Who would you rather have sex with, Meg Ryan or Jack Nicholson?”
Norm: “Jack Nicholson now? Or Jack Nicholson from the early 70’s?”
Artie: “Early 70’s.”
Norm: “...Meg Ryan.”

What’s your timeline? I could probably throw something together, but it wouldn’t be in the immediate future.

Are you playing with your kitten? They have huge amounts of energy and he is probably sleeping during the day awaiting your return. Plus you can tell just by looking at him he's a rascal so I'll be looking forward to naughty kitten updates.
