That question gives me significant pause. I'm not sure. My best guess is that, in cases of racial discrimination or perhaps in prosecution of hate crimes where the bad actor using that word is a material fact, the lawyer(s) pressing the case probably just bring out the language unfiltered. Have thankfully not run across that situation myself, and hope not to.

Comcast can eat a dick

Ripping on Comcast is one of those things that guarantees a big pop, like a band yelling the name of the city they're in for whatever reason.

Having experienced both Comcast and AT&T, I can say that I don't think that either is much better than the other. They both suck.

Basically correct, though I think Comcast can take it to the next level when it comes to legendarily infuriating service. It’s like when a pitcher reaches back for that 102 mph fastball in a big spot, they just know when to bring the heat.

I've had the most infuriating customer service experiences of my life in the past year, and they were with AT&T. I put in multiple years with Comcast and didn't have experiences that were quite this bad. Comcast had more service outages by a large margin though.

My personal experience is that AT&T customer support is worse but that Comcast service is worse.

To AT&T's credit, their Internet service has been consistently great, and I have zero complaints. Cable was horrible. I've since cut the cord.

I enjoyed Good Will Hunting and it features perhaps my favorite Robin Williams performance, but I regard it as strikingly overrated. I cannot believe how many people revere it as an all-time great film.

I hated it with a passion. I don't think I managed to even finish it and I've sat through many bad movies. I'm not even sure why I despised it so much. Also had a similar reaction to Forrest Gump lol.

I liked Forrest Gump at the time and still don't think it's bad, but it hasn't aged well. The fact that it crushed the likes of Shawshank Redemption and Pulp Fiction at the Oscars only looks worse over time.

I was a pretty big fan of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and I hate the notion many put forth that it was a cheap Forrest Gump ripoff, particularly as the Benjamin Button book was published long before the Forrest Gump book had been.

Tag meets grappling. Kabaddi. Basic rules are each team has their own side of a field. One player from Team A runs to Team B's side of the field and tries to tag as many Team B players as they can without getting captured. The teams alternate turns after every attempt. Points are scored based on how many tags they player gets or if the player gets captured.

Philly fans booing their own team might be that rare instance of something being more overdone than "this is awesome" chants at a WWE event.

Eventhough it’s mostly true, I still take offense to this

On the bright side, I like your home city in spite of any criticisms of the fans.

What's Cleveland like? I watched a couple of episodes of Hot in Cleveland ages ago and it made me a little curious.

Only spent a weekend there, but my snap-judgment is that it's as ****ty as its reputation. I came away hating it.

(That's all I spent in Philly so far too, so my snap-judgments can swing both ways. The difference is that I would gladly go back to Philly.)

Thanks for the feedback LKJ. It's interesting sometimes comparing reputation to actuality. Alice Springs has a reasonably bad reputation but I have very good memories from living there. I often think about moving back there.

Yeah, I try to keep an open mind about cities even if I do go in with certain expectations at times. St. Louis was surprisingly decent. Baltimore was a depressing pile of trash, though their ballpark was nice and the Orioles fans were cool.

Alice Springs is actually a place most people enjoy living in but a lot of people think is a dangerous place when visiting. I loved the air out there, it's a very easy place to make friends and the only time I ever felt unsafe was when I was being chased by some dogs while on my bike and that can happen anywhere. I did miss the beach though.

Where is Alice Springs? You're not talking about that place in the middle of Australia, are you?
