I would rather go full David Puddy than converse with a stranger during a flight.

Season 2 right now. Jordan just had the baby, and Cox does not know it's his yet. So I'm still in the good times of the show.

I echo that the series finale in s8 was perfect. Such a shame they brought it back after.

Scrubs having the perfect finale and then coming back did have an effect on me though. I now just stop when I think something's just perfect and it can only go down from there. It's only happened twice since then, but one was when I was netflixing Friday Night Lights. They had the episode where Smash got accepted and it ended with everyone happily playing football on the field for fun and I just said "alright, that's perfect. I'm done here." and haven't watched more. I've heard it gets even more depressing than it was in the first few seasons, so I feel good about my decision.

It's ****ing awesome. It is by far the best DC movie and it rivals the vast majority of marvel ones as well. Guardians of the Galaxy is my favorite one, but this one is right in the next tier along with Iron Man, Thor, Avengers, and Civil War.
Just got back from this with my daughter. I thought it was pretty damn good. She absolutely loved it. There were tears at the end of it.

(Chairman of the Bored got a 2.3.)

Love the Norm Macdonald reference at the end.

For Simpsons, I have Monorail and Cape Feare in a tie for my top 2. The episodes are each perfect from start to finish.

Agree with the Frank Grimes analysis. Homer plays the unwittingly lovable, yet objectively speaking, heel in that episode.

I'm a sucker for Last Exit to Springfield and Treehouse 3. Cape feare is amazing and the most cartoony the simpsons ever was, and finishing with the entire score of the HMS Pinafore is truly inspired writing.

My primary affinity for Homer's Enemy comes from personally identifying with Frank Grimes. At the time, my social circle included a dude that I correctly detested, but that everyone else in the friend group would irrationally defend no matter what he did or how he acted. By a couple of years later they had come to my side of things, but at the time I found it cathartic to commiserate with Grimes.

You get like three miserably hot days per year out there. And about the same amount of sub-freezing days. Seattle generally delivers on the promise of temperate weather.

Also I just watched the first ep and I'm at least intrigued enough to continue.

It's 106 in Tucson right now. Yesterday I was talking to some people and they were talking about how it's really cooled off lately...it was 103 yesterday. We were up to 116 prior to that

I'm also interested in the GLOW stuff. I'll probably never watch it but whatever. The GLOW girls used scare the **** out of me when I was like 7.

Yeah, but we whine like spoiled brats for those three days.

It's a sitcom, not a documentary. Though it is based off a documentary.

Stars Allison Brie so even without the whole wrestling premise it gets an early watch nod.

How long are eps? I didn't know it was a sitcom, I thought it was a drama with hour long eps so didn't want to commit to another show but if it's a light watch then I'll check it out.

Half hour. Btw I didn't even realise that was Awesome Kong till I looked at the cast just now, she's lost quite a bit of weight.

Also I marked out for the cameo from
Spoiler:
The Funkasaurus!

I had heard she was told to lose weight during her pregnancy to help protect the baby. She probably decided to keep it off afterward for health reasons. Good to hear she got work, I always liked her.

Why is the 2010 slammy awards the second highest rated episode?

Really enjoying GLOW.

Brodus actually does a pretty good job. And is that Carlito playing his brother?

Patty Smyth's "The Warrior" has been stuck in my head for nearly a week because of that show.
