Really? I thought Team Cena was a lock to lose at this PPV, and I still think they are going to lose. They won't end the "authority out of power" angle this quickly, it will end at Mania if anything. This new angle makes it even more likely to me that Cena and friends are going to lose. Think of the "shock" impact it will have on all the free subscribers.

I'm not sure how much more milage they can get out of The Authority at this point. If you're looking for Big Exciting Things to get new subs and viewers, rolling Vince back out might be a pretty good idea.

I'd like a new GM figure who was all "Hey wait, wtf are you guys doing let Lesnar sit at home" and resolved that situation.

The stipulation is great if they somehow gather the balls to eliminate Cena first.

Yeah maybe I rushed to conclusions thinking the added stip meant team Cena was a lock. Reading the posts ITT I can see how they could work the firing angle too.

Big Show needs a new agent. After signing an IRONCLAD contract he shouldnt be threatened with getting fired so often.

Cena getting eliminated first, cleanly, would be near-Undertaker losing at WM levels of shock

It's obviously not happening, but if you want to tell the best story with that stipulation (and ignore that he's "the guy" and all that), you add that stip, have Cena get eliminated first, then have his team come back to win.

Not sure where you go from there, but that would be an awesome match in terms of playing with everyone's expectations.

There's gonna be something huge happen in the main event for sure, given that this is the first ever free PPV?? (not sure on this). there's gonna be a ton of people watching. Maybe DB or Roman Reigns run in for the main event. Or Orton I guess.

HHH announced that Cena himself won't be fired if his team loses but the rest of team will be.

Maybe they didn't want Cena off TV for a week if the Authority wins? Seems like a strange stipulation to make note of if Team Cena is a lock.

This stip makes more sense because they don't want anyone to help Cena. I'm guessing at least one team member won't show up. Everybody will be wondering where they are. Then they'll show up at the end just to turn?

I feel like I level myself every time into thinking its a possibility Cena could be turning heel at almost every single PPV, even though it's almost a foregone conclusion that he never will.

I guess so but from a kayfabe standpoint isn't Team Cena locked in place at this point because of the (can't believe I'm saying this) contract signing? If Big Show doesn't show up to the match and Team Cena loses, he should still be fired IMO. It's not a warning at this point, it's more of a "You decided to join Team Cena even though all of the authority were telling you not too. Now you pay the consequences - lose and be fired."

Cena doing an Hogan turn, not showing up and then showing up mid-match, would be awesome. Even more awesome if he drops the leg on Ziggler. Never happening though.

If I had booked Team Cena vs the Authority, this is what I would have done:

Cena can't get members, perhaps because people are concerned about being fired or injured. He finally gets to 4 making it 5v4, then on the last Raw before the show 1 member is injured (preferably the Big Show). The Authority is all smiles about the situation and makes the seemingly unimportant celebratory comment "You and whomever you have left to help you have no chance at Survivor Series".

At the show when the match is going on, Sami Zayn and Finn Balor (or whomever really) come out of the crowd and help. And the angle that happens after is that they are supposed to still be at NXT but they keep showing up on RAW and causing problems for the powers that be.
