A live report

-- Batista officially turned heel at Tuesday's night's WWE Main Event SmackDown TV tapings. At the start of the WWE SmackDown TV taping for Friday night, Batista came out to mixed boos and cheers. He cut a promo and started off by saying "I love this business and company." He said he did not come back to be liked. A huge C.M. Punk chant broke out. He said you don't have to support him, but you gotta deal with it. He said it's a fact he can destroy anyone they put in front of him. A small Daniel Bryan chant started and died quickly. Batista asked what the hell happened to this business, the real men, the attitude. A huge YES! chant broke out. He said if the fans honestly think their heroes are as good as him they need to get out of their fantasy world and to get out of his. He basically told everyone to shutup and that Daniel Bryan would never be as good as he is. He said he would destroy each of our heroes on his way to WrestleMania where he will become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. We'd all have to "deal with it." Out came Dolph Ziggler. A "Let's Go Ziggler" chant broke out. Ziggler started out by saying, "You don't tell these people who to cheer for" and that they cheer for who they want. He said Batista is a dinosaur and sooner or later they become extinct. The crowd popped huge for that. Ziggler said he wants a match with Batista tonight. Batista said he wanted it he would get it. Ziggler dropkicked him and walked away...and the match took place later on the show. Batista wound up beating Ziggler.

very surprised if WWE is going this route for the third time on an anniversary PPV.

WM10 - underdog (Canadian) babyface has to go through 2 opponents to win the title.

WM20 - underdog (Canadian) babyface has to go through 2 opponents to win title.

WM30 - underdog (almost Canadian) babyface has to go through 2 opponents to win title?

BOOtista is a really good guy to rip up the contract and job to 5'9 Bryan. I wouldn't do it. Don't ever say he isn't a team player. Ironically the fans are going to LOVE Batista when he turns back face, they will thank him so much for this.

This is clearly WWE wanting him to get cheered when his movie comes out, so they have him turn heel now and job to Bryan, then turn him face for his movie premiere.

Did anyone happen to catch Jim Ross on Opie and Anthony today? I only heard about half of the interview, but what I heard was really good. He discussed, among other things, signing the rock, his firing from wwe, and Vince not wanting him to sign Foley. Highly recommended listening.

"The latest WrestleMania lineup we got lists the world title match a "Batista vs Orton vs ?," which allows for the possibility that Daniel Bryan could get into the match somehow, such as by beating Triple H or being added by Hulk Hogan. Matches that have been pitched but not yet solidified are Big E vs. Dean Ambrose to unify the secondary titles; Luke Harper & Erick Rowan vs. Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns; Sheamus vs. Christian; Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust; and some kind of NXT match on the main card."

So we are getting a pretty awesome main event, hogan as host, HHH jobbing, getting rid of US title, awesome tag match, awesome family feud, nxt craziness, Bray getting over due to Cena. Dare I say it this is actually shaping up to be decent enough.

I'm even starting to turn on Bork/Taker.

and Sheamus/Christian isn't necessarily bad either.

Hopefully that report is true, but it's jumping the gun to just snap-believe it. Still it's something tangible to base some hope on since the Observer is pretty good.

amend that to "some kind of Sami Zayn match on the main card" and it's all good. i also think unifying the belts is a meh idea, however, if they do that, they should unify the InterUS title with the world championship since it won't make a damn difference at all.

watched Hart/Perfect from SS 91 last night. remember when people would actually feud because the person held the championship? or like in the aforementioned match people would give 200% to win? wtf happened?

Meh I've been on train of thought that Bryan was going over at WM and most of the stuff right now is a work for almost the whole time. (Though Bryan challenging HHH to a match at mania definitely had me in doubt)

I've also thought for a while now that WWE are controlling a lot of the dirtsheets and rumors coming out. It's the reality era with Vince running it rather than Phil.

Feel free to laugh your ass off me post-mania when Tista walks out with the belt =/

Here's a potential card I threw together hastily based on new and existing info. The biggest issue is that it would have 2 tag matches on it (not including the mixed tag I made up), which I don't think will happen. At the same time I don't think Wyatts and Shields would get put into the tag title picture, so I'm at a loss when it comes to predicting this booking. For now I put them all in a fatal 4 way tag match.

Preshow Match 1
Ryback vs. Ultimate Warrior

Preshow Match 2 - Mixed Tag
Fandango and Summer Rae vs. Santino and Emma

If DB wins, he gets put into the main event
Daniel Bryan vs. HHH

Match with at least 4 divas
AJ (c)

Falls count anywhere
Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena

Christian retirement match
Christian vs. Sheamus

Ladder match for tag titles
Degeneration X (c) vs. The Usos vs. Luke Harper & Erick Rowan vs. Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns

Secondary title unification match
Big E (c) vs. Dean Ambrose (c)

Family Fued
Cody Rhodes vs. Golddust

NXT "match of the year" rematch, stipulation if Sami Zayn wins he gets brought up to main roster
Sami Zayn vs. Cesaro

Hell in a Cell
Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar

WWE Title
Randy Orton (c) vs. Batista vs. Daniel Bryan

**** it, I just checked and Guardians of the Galaxy doesn't come out until August. They can just strap Batista sometime this summer.

wow really?

Pretty sure Cena is beating Bray and Bryan is shipping the title if he is in the match

Also I'm holding out hope we will just get Naomi/AJ rather than another omg 20 women in a ring bs match

And I don't think they should make a decision on Big E/Ambrose til the week before. Let them feud, even on limited time one will get over more than the other. Otoh Ambrose/Zig post-mania could be awesome for the legit secondary title.

I ninja edited Bryan winning the match now... as for the Cena/Wyatt match, I think Bray will win but not clean. I set the match as falls count anywhere because it allows for some crazy shenanigans like Wyattference in the back. As for Big E & Ambrose match I agree 100%, either one of them could serve well to have the belt.

Lol, Cena is going over.

The rumours of the card are nice. I expect the NXT match should be for the title and they will run Neville against the big Bulgarian guy or wherever the **** he is from that they have big expectations for. But fingers crossed it is Zayn vs Neville and the two put on a ten minute spotfest clinic to really work the crowd up as a curtain jerker.

Wyatt beating Cena is more likely than both Bryan being in the championship match and Bryan beating HHH.

Get ready to be disappointed.

Same. I think it's pretty likely that it happens that way. I also think it's somewhat likely that DB/HHH goes on the match before the ME or the match before that for the ultimate underdog story.

Pretty sure if Warrior appears at all it will be some kind of run-in to save Hogan from a beat down, like at Wrestlemania 8. Then the 2 will embrace, marking the end of their personal feud.

MONSTER updates from source:

You're all underestimating how much WWE likes Bray Wyatt. Cena will go over but it won't be clean. The most talked about finish for the match is Cena by DQ, then Hogan comes to the rescue and they celebrate. Wyatt will go over at Payback.

Bryan winning the title to close the show is the finish at this time. Congrats to WWE universe for pushing hard and getting the result they want. Orton/Bootista/Bryan ruins the Shield triple threat match though, so bummer. fyi, HHH will not lose clean to Bryan. Expect HBK to be the guest ref to supposedly stack the odds against Bryan, only for HBK to screw HHH over.

Dean Ambrose vs Big E. is not happening according to my source. Some people are pushing hard for it but the main players aren't behind giving Ambrose this type of spotlight over Reigns. So Creative will do one of these 2 things: (1) The Shield stays together for now and fight the Wyatt Family (with an added member) Maybe Bo Dallas? (2) The Shield will break up immediately and Roman Reigns will take the U.S. Title from Ambrose on upcoming RAW, setting up Big E. vs Reigns title vs title. Then Rollins/Ambrose vs Harper/Rowan at WM is possible.

NXT title match will be Neville vs Zayn (75 percent) or Neville vs Rusev (25 percent)

Christian/Sheamus will be No DQ and might get enough time to steal the show. Edge return possible? conchairto finish?

Wyatt pushing Cena to a good match and going under probably does more for his career than actually going over imo.
