I've always wonder why he doesn't commentate for other sports. I also love that this is in the spoilers thread. People might not want the announcers for the OKC game spoiled for them

In a perfect world, an OKC basketball team would never be mentioned again.

He used to commentate for the Falcons after he quit WCW, and did some XFL and Oklahoma Sooners games as well

No way should Punk/Austin be on the same card as Cena/Taker, HHH/HBK and Rock/Brock, as great as the buyrate would it be, Austin's return match shouldn't be anything but the biggest build and main event. Save it for WM30 imo and give Punk at least another year as a top face.

Austin is 47 years old. If he's going to have a match, I want it to be as soon as possible. I agree that he should always be the main draw but I don't want Austin to come back and be complete aids in the ring.

If Austin can still kept going in the ring, after that botched tombstone by Owen Hart, I think he'll be fine here. Though that is depending on his conditioning. I mean Austin's moveset, post Summerslam 97, is not really that hard to execute.

I don't see why they couldn't just go for a huge, five-hour, quadruple-main-event, biggest-of-all-time WM card tbh. Austin/Punk would undoubtedly pop the buyrate, but those four matches together and we're looking at >2M buys easily. That's eight of the greatest in the business facing off across four matches - the only dilemma is what goes on last.

I suppose it depends on whether the plan is for Cena to end the Streak - if so, I guess that has to be the main event. Heck, with that stacked a card and a few musical performances etc they could do a two-day WrestleMania with 4-6 hours on each day. Now that'd be special.

Those 4 matches, a funkasaurus dance, and the normal ratio of ads to in-match wrestling would fill 2 ppvs.

Don't forget promos for the PPV currently happening, and promos for the corresponding PPV one year away. Plus the obligatory Santino/product placement skit.

>2 million buys seems impossible if they did only do 1.2 million this year.

Ryback was pretty impressive on Smackdown. Dude looks legit, pulled off a nice looking gorilla press to powerslam clearly inspired by Goldberg and his finisher is a running delayed fisherman suplex that looks pretty painful too.

Bryan completely 100% killed it in an epic promo. That guy is so effin good at this pro grappling stuff.

is it my imagination or did the wwe actually edit out a lot of the yes chants at the start of the DB promo and dub boos over it or something? seems like a lot more people were chanting than the noise corresponded with

Yes they were canning the noise. They do that a lot on SD.

I was wondering if they overdubbed the crowd noise cos it didnt match to reports. There was a lot more booing in the background than i could see in the crowd and tellingly they took out the commentary table loop entirely when you would expect Booker to be jumping in on Bryan face-style.

Well, that was unsurprising that ADR won it and is facing Sheamus. The question is what does Orton or Jericho do (I don't know why I mentioned Jericho, he's about to go back to doing Fozzy stuff, which includes doing Download (biggest rock festival in England))?

Watched the internat'l edition of sd! D-bry's run-in was really well done and surprising. They are so in on the badass, limb snapping, intelligent d-bry and it's awesome. Though this mini-feud could distract from Punk/Bryan II if that's next (or we just got our run-in candidate).

Ryback was ****ing amazing.

I might have to go back on him never getting over squashing random nobodies if he keeps doing double stack fisherman running Samoan drops and that sick deadlift powerbomb move.

He should be moved straight into the main event level.
