Both World Title matches at Summerslam are going to feature guest stars.
They're going to be the #2 wrestling company in North America by next year.
I'd be more interested if they switched it to Goldberg/Reigns and Cena/Lashley, since the history behind both is a little more interesting (Cena beating Lashley clean and killing his original push, Reigns dropping out of WM to face Goldberg)

Yeah, especially since Cena already put Reigns over and showed him respect. What are they going to build an angle for the match around?
IMO Cena/Reigns will be awesome. Cena is very live to go over. The first Cena/Reigns was 1% of what this could be. It was at No Mercy. They were still trying to push Reigns as a tweener/face. Cena had to carry it on the mic. This will be a Summerslam build with Reigns as a full-on heel doing his absolute best mic-work. They need someone on Cena's level to step up with Reigns running rampant on the SD roster. And it's not impossible Cena is back a few months and carries the title a little bit to allow Reigns to develop his heel character separate from the title before dropping it back to him. And even if he loses there's plenty of builds that would be fine. If Cena comes back for this one match, loses, then disappears again, I'll gladly eat my words, but I think it'll be good and I'm excited to watch.
Otoh, Goldberg/Lashley is obviously pathetic, and unfortunate for Lashley, who also seems to be doing the best work of his career.

If they convinced Goldberg to tap out to The Hurt Lock, that would be a feather in the cap (since he's never tapped in his entire career)
I don't know wtf this company is thinking. They've basically released every non-cookie cutter talent in the last few months. Obviously, they have no fear of AEW, but they also seem to have no interest in their own ratings either.
I wouldn't even be surprised if Drew McIntyre got released by next WM due to "budget cuts", with the justification being that he didn't draw a dime during the pandemic
