I actually read that, but still don't get the big deal. The guy had a match. Vince thought he was good. He wasn't. Doesn't seem all that different from anyone else Vince changes his mind about.

The difference is this was reportedly literally the only non terrible match Magee ever had. (some wrestling nerds eventually figured out he and hart had another match a few years later, so there was at least initial discussion and idk if it got resolved the tape is the right one) Obviously neither were on TV thus the hype. of what a mediocre at best match, yeah okay I won't bother but whatever.

AEW will be on TNT. Revenue sharing so not a time buy but if they don't do well, they don't make money. They're sticking to a PPV model and charging $50 per show but they will only run around 5 shows per year.

Double or Nothing is in a week and TYB teased new signings. While I'm not really excited by the thought of Ambrose/Moxley showing up, I am excited that if he does it will start a whole new generation of wrestler's "jumping ship" like in the MNW.

Also Jericho can post a 1 min vid in his gym that's better than any WWE promo this year

I know it doesn't fit with the narrative, and I haven't seen the Tom Magee/Bret Hart match, but Arn Anderson pulled a serviceable short match out of Magee. Nothing earth-shattering, but I've seen a lot worse.

Just found this via Twitter and this is pretty disgusting and I have no idea how this wasn't uncovered two years ago. Per Ashley Massaro's allegations against WWE in concussion lawsuit.

Cliff notes:
WWE goes to SA
Ashley gets drugged and raped on a US military base.
Later on Vince personally asks her to not go public with any of it because it would harm relations with SA.

I've watched less WWE in the past 365 days than I had in the previous 8-10 years. SA stuff just didn't sit well with me so I took a break and when I did I realized I didn't miss it much week to week. That might be the last straw though because actively covering up one of your talent being raped on the job so you don't "ruin our relationship with them" is one of the biggest piece of **** actions there is. Hard to justify giving any sort of support that direction.
