I like Batista quite a bit. But when his return push ran into (we) fans demanding Daniel Bryan’s coronation, it was bound to fail as planned.

If GotG came out before his return or as he returned I’m very confident his push wouldn’t have been shat on

Him coming back would be what they wanted from fan response from the start

People did want Batista back. People didn't want him over Bryan though. Had they have had Bryan win the Rumble and then main event 30 and had Batista vs. Punk, the fans wouldn't have **** on him and Punk would still be around.

Tommie Dreamer on MLBNow on MLBNetwork. Who knew he was an advanced stats guy?

I watched that earlier, and I must say that he held his own quite well

He knew his baseball. Funny he said that he even sent in a resume when the network first started 10 years ago, but never heard back from them. Guess they didn't think they needed an Innovator of Violence, but I disagree whenever I hear Harold Reynolds' voice.

On Tuesday, Glenn Jacobs (also known as Kane) was on the ballot for Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. On Tuesday night, WBIR reporter Marc Sallinger reported Jacobs had a 17-vote lead with 100 percent of all precincts reporting.
Congrats to Mr. Kane.

A good thing I got out of there when I could. True story: back in 2010 before BF, I was a poker player and moved from Tucson to Knox County just for a change of scenery. I was a 15 minute ride from the University of Tennessee. My wife and I moved back to Tucson 4 months later because we hated it so much.

The surroundings of the University is like the ghettos in 8 Mile. Abandoned **** and graffiti all around. Total garbage compared to the U of A

Burn it down, Kane! Burn it down!

I didn't realize that was a pun until I wrote it lol.

You thought he was older? He doesn't look very old, and he arrived well after a mid-40s dude like Jericho.

Yeah, 37 is about where I would have put him.

This is weird:

Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Big Cass upset the powers-that-be in WWE last week by going against a directive given to him before a segment involving a little person.

In case you missed it, the segment on SmackDown Live featured a little person dressed as Daniel Bryan and ended with Cass beating him down in the middle of the ring.

According to sources, however, it didn’t play out exactly as scripted.

We’re told Cass was directed to be done with the attack after hitting the impersonator with a big boot, but the wrestler asked if he could take it further with a beatdown. Backstage officials said no, but BC felt strongly about doing so and took the issue up with Vince McMahon … who also shot him down.

When the segment happened in the ring though, Big Cass went against what he was told after hitting the big boot and mounted the little person to throw a barrage of punches.

Sources tell us backstage officials were very unhappy and it landed the recently returned wrestler in hot water. A few days later he lost to Daniel Bryan at Backlash, then wasn’t used on TV during SmackDown Live this week. No word on whether that was already the plan before he went off-script.

The video of the segment published by WWE on YouTube does not include the punches, nor does the photo gallery on WWE.com.

Come on, don't be mean Vince! He just made a little mistake! A small error! A tiny adjustment to the plan!

Wait, so you're saying that DB was probably going to lose to Cass as well as Rusev this week?

I'd imagine that the idea for every face program (and especially DB program) is to have face lose, face win, face win. It's just that formulaic now. The thing that throws me off the story is Cass getting his heat back with the beatdown after the match. If they wanted to bury him, they wouldn't keep the feud relevant.

I can get behind booking that has DB lose every match for a month or so, wondering if he's still got it (of course the crowd will chant he does) before going on a run for the title...which eventually is held by Miz after winning MitB.

Also don't necessarily disagree with Cass's idea. He's a bad guy, so let him look bad. No idea why he'd want to die on that hill though.

I think if we asked Vince why he didn't like the idea, he'd say that he wanted the last image people to see on the go home edition to BL was Cass doing his finisher instead of punches. Just my first impulse there.

I'm about six months behind on my podcasts, but I heard Bruce Pritchard from back in November say that Vince was initially resistant to the Rock's heel turn (first one when he joined the nation). You'd have thought he'd learned since then.

Also, this was a fun read about Lawler's only world title reign and the end of the AWA

So much for going to All In. While I was debating about whether or not I should go, the show sold out in about an hour. I guess I have to be content with going to some of the podcast shows that will be running live

I flat out refuse to pay anyone who bought tickets with the sole purpose of jacking up the price on the secondary market. I hope they all get burned for the money
