Can't say I expected this one.

Next HOF inductee:

Man, I saw the recent rumblings but that one is still awfully surprising. He's more accomplished than some inductees, but unlike other harsh personal fallouts like Warrior/Savage/Bruno, it never would have mattered to most fans if Jarrett stayed out forever.

Quintessential, mildly annoying midcarder.

He was really an example of the whole being less than the sum of its parts. He was competent at basically every aspect of being a pro wrestler, but he was almost never actually enjoyable to watch.

Still, I will champion the Shawn Michaels vs. Jeff Jarrett July '95 IYH match forever. Obviously no real surprise that Shawn could drag a great match out of Jarrett since he dragged them out of worse, but I did think that Jarrett held up his end of the bargain in that one as well.

Bruce Prichard made a good point on his podcast last week. Jeff should sing "With my baby tonight" at the ceremony because it'd be the first time that he ever sang in on WWE tv.

What would your one month plan be with the current active roster?
I would tell Vince the way to improve things would be to have Raw be 5 hours long, PPVs be 12 hours, and for every Sunday to be Wrestlemania.

Vince would be like "wait a second-- Wrestlemania is our biggest nite of the year... the kid is right! WHAT IF WE HAD 52 WRESTLEMANIAS A YEAR! OH MY GOD!"

Also, I also dreaded Jeff Jarrett being on tv. I never found his character interesting, and he seemed like a dirtbag of a real person, from what I can gather (but I dunno, so I'm not taking a hard line on that part).

But different strokes for different folks...

He definitely is a dirtbag. From holding Vince up for 6 figures at No Mercy 1999 and even now where he's showing up so drunk at indy shows that promoters aren't letting him go out in front of the crowd. A true pos.

I feel at this point Vince is just trying to have at least one shocking entrant per year. I would be surprised to see Punk as the headliner next year.

I would think that Vince still holds out hope of getting Punk back as an active wrestler. I'm always guessing that Punk will find his way back into the WWE ring.

The top part is harsh but stunningly accurate (Accordingly I just tweeted your quote)

Very surprised by this but probably shouldn’t be at this point. My favourite Jarrett memory is Vince firing him live on Raw after buying WCW.

So this year's class so far is Goldberg, Dudleys, Ivory, and Jeff Jarrett. It's sure shaping up as a candidate for worst ever.

I'm sure this year's celebrity inductee will save it.

The celebrity is rumored to be Kid Rock so yeah, worst year ever.

Bam Bam is rumored to be going in this year though which seems like it's way overdue.

Unfortunately even the best posthumous inductions aren't that great. Rick Rude's son killed it; it still wasn't a particularly great induction.

I'll be tuned in regardless. Sometimes I love the inductee's speech even if I'm not a fan (see: Bushwhackers).

Just a reminder, every one of those people will be in the hall of fame before Vader. He seemingly ate one of Vince's dogs at some point.

Jeff Jarret is getting a nod before Vader. Let that sink in.

Oh man, I'd actually forgotten last year's campaign to get Vader into the Hall before he inevitably kicks the bucket.

On the bright side, maybe he isn't dying soon?

Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle vs. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon (reported by PWInsider.com)

Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor (reported by cbssports.com)

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn (reported by bleacherreport.com)

RAW Women's Title (reported by PWInsider.com)
Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Asuka

IC Title (reported by F4WOnline.com)
The Miz (c) vs. Braun Strowman

Universal Title (confirmed)
Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns

WWE Title (confirmed)
AJ Styles (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

WWE Cruiserweight Title final (confirmed)

John Cena vs. The Undertaker (not confirmed but expected)

Andre The Giant memorial battle royal (not confirmed but expected)

-------------
All of those are pretty likely or confirmed. Obviously a bit to add as no women's match from SD! is on there yet. There's also no US title or either tag title mentioned above.

They should help build interest in that KO vs Sami match by adding that it will be for the final time

Been reading they're more likely doing Balor/Rollins/Miz for the IC Title and Elias v Braun

PWInsider is reporting that Lesnar was supposed to be on Raw last night and that the Roman promo wasn't scripted in advance (though the gist of it was approved). UFC's Dana White tweeted a photo of him and Brock over the weekend, so there are rumors that Brock is playing hardball over his renegotiation. But no one really knows.

Seems that most people I've read think it's a work, though.

Googling "Brock Lesnar scheduled dates 2018" reveals the first handful of sites reported in late-Dec to Early-Jan that he was advertised to be there last night.

I typed the above as a joke, then opened up a tab and googled Lashley to see if he was even still a wrestler. And I see that I may not have been joking.

Announced a few hours ago:

Four time TNA/Impact Wrestling champion Bobby Lashley, 41, has come to terms on a new WWE deal, marking his first time back in WWE since 2008.
