The music wasn't actually playing at the event. It was added later.

There’s a rumor going around stating Neville requested his release from WWE last night … and while we haven’t been able to confirm it quite yet, here’s what we know.

Sources say Neville was initially scheduled to lose to Enzo Amore in the main event lumberjack match on Raw. However, plans changed after the ex-cruiserweight champion walked out before the show.

In case you missed it, Kalisto was given the spot instead and won the Cruiserweight title.

While our sources haven’t been able to confirm this information officially, an account using the handle @WrestleVotes tweeted today saying Neville quit and most people we’ve spoken with say there does appear to be some truth in that claim.

It’s worth noting that not all wrestlers who ask for a release are immediately granted their request.

We’ll keep you updated if further information is made available.
Interesting. Big Dave had mentioned in his recap of the segment that it was supposed to be Neville vs. Enzo in a non-title match but didn't mention this little wrinkle.

Storyline wise Neville in that match makes no sense. Only Kalisto does (all the other cruiser weights are banned from wrestling Enzo.)

Storyline-wise none of the story makes any sense anyway.

I thought this was he didn't have to defend vs. the CW's. I could easily be wrong . Big Dave had reported it as a non title match.

They introduced Kalisto last week though. Maybe their plan was neville goes over in a non title match, then kalisto wins at TLC? Then neville beats Kalisto later??

If we start insisting on storylines making sense, we're all going to have a hard time.

Story is now that Neville didn't walk out of Raw. He didn't show up at all.

Quote:
There have been reports that Neville walked out of Raw. That is incorrect. He was never on the road this past weekend as he did not work any of the live events and was not backstage, at any point, during Raw this past Monday. Mustafa Ali worked the Raw house shows, wrestling Enzo Amore, replacing Neville, who was originally slated for those shows.

The original plan for Raw was Neville vs. Enzo Amore, but that was changed over the course of the day when someone voiced that Neville couldn't get a title shot due to the current storyline. There was talk of the match being made non-title, but then, when it became known Neville would not be at the taping, the decision was made to go with Kalisto and put the belt on him as a way to tie him to the legacy of Eddie Guerrero, as it was Guerrero's birthday and he legitimately helped inspire Kalisto to get into professional wrestling.

According to two different sources, Neville has pushed for a release with the idea of leaving the company and building his name outside of it, similar to what Drew McIntyre did prior to his return to NXT. We have been told there were several factors Neville was unhappy with. One source claimed a souring point was being left off of the Wrestlemania 33 DVD, which meant no royalties from what is traditionally the biggest selling WWE DVD of the year.

Neville is still under contract to the company and has not been released. It is entirely possible the two sides will come to terms and he will return to the company, but as of right now, we are told he is not factored in any of the current plans for the Cruiserweight division or any other WWE brand and is not slated to travel to any house show.

According to Big Dave this is what the Survivor Series main event is going to be. I'm putting this in spoilers just because. This reads like a joke and there are not enough memes or gifs in the world to do this justice:

Spoiler:
Dave Meltzer reported in today's daily update that current plans call for Raw's top champion to face SmackDown's top champion in a non-title match at November's dual-branded Survivor Series pay-per-view.

The match would be Brock Lesnar vs. Jinder Mahal, with neither the Universal nor WWE Championship on the line. What the card for Survivor Series looks like should be finalized in the coming weeks as both brands will begin building to the show.

Lesnar headlined last year's Survivor Series as well. That's where he lost to Goldberg in just over a minute, with their feud continuing all the way to WrestleMania. The rest of the card last year was built around Raw vs. SmackDown matches.

As noted earlier today, it appears that Mahal may still be champion when WWE tours India in December as he's scheduled to defend his title against Kevin Owens at those two shows.

Survivor Series will take place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on November 19th. The arena will also host NXT TakeOver: War Games the night before that and both Raw and SmackDown in the days after the PPV.

There aren't enough.

I'm actually rooting for that just to see how they could pull it off without making a complete joke of the Smackdown championship.

Singh brothers are going to have a hard day at work.

I love how this whole Jinder mess has been to gain an audience in India but they still don't have enough faith in him to book him against someone popular during the actual Indian tour. He's wrestling KO for that.

He's also not the main guy in the advertisements for the India tour.

WWE is weird even though I don't mind Jinder nearly as much as some do in here.

View: Shield vs Miz/Snowman/BAR is going to be great. I'm intrigued for sure. I'm hoping they top The Shield debut match vs. Ryback/Hell No at TLC 2012.

I'm also looking forward to seeing how Asuka fairs on the main roster but much less so than the 7-man because lolz women's wrestling. There's no one that is even a threat to her. She should legit murder the champion of the division.

The debut match of The Shield that I referenced didn't have anything hanging above the ladder. It was pinfall or submission wins.

I probably haven't seen that match in 2+ years but I can still picture Seth's head nailing the table when he takes his big fall.

edit: this fall...

If this is actually the plan* my only question is who wins the Rumble if the two title challengers are Cena and Roman???

Melzter is saying Neville is pretty much confirmed gone and a big reason is because of Cody. He said Neville and a few other wrestlers have been getting advice from Cody on how to exit the WWE cleanly and succeed. He's suspecting that if Neville gets even half the success Cody has then there will be a lot more guys leaving.
