That's not the entire news with The Hardy's either. They're supposedly not signed to ROH but rather collecting money while doing and waiting for medical clearances from WWE. So the TNA bs is just lol considering they're protecting what is likely < 3 months of a gimmick and then it just dies.

Not like WWE doesn't do the same thing. Cody can't even use the Rhodes name anymore. Other than use of the name though, I don't see how they can force Matt Hardy out of portraying the character or something very similar.

Let's not forget that as part of Vince's lawsuit against Bischoff (that was settled for an undisclosed sum), Vince listed the curly hair strand in the front of Razor's head and toothpick as being owned by the WWF. It seems like they can force him to stop portraying that character or something very similar.

If Shane absolutely had to have WM match (and I have no idea why he does), maybe it should have been with HHH. Get two part-timers out of the way in one shot. There's a natural story there, even some rumors about why they haven't appeared on camera together since Shane returned.
