Wow. That's both awesome (he's one of the more deserving wrestlers I can think of) and disappointing (it basically guarantees that he's never setting foot in a WWE ring again).

I had been hoping that he shows up to a huge round of "You suck" at the Royal Rumble this year. If they had held out on announcing it this early, it still could have happened.

I highly doubt they have him in a wrestling role though in the future. I do would like to see him wrestle Styles or Nakamura (with their more refined personas compared to when he wrestled them in the late 00s).

^^ That would be awesome, but it's could be glaring if you have the three American trained wrestlers at the amateur level pairing with a Bulgarian wrestler. Though I guess it wouldn't be that different from the three American wrestlers that wrestled a NWA style pairing with a Filipino-American that grew up in the dirty parts of Washington DC that looks like a bouncer.

It's too bad he spent the majority of his career wasting away in TNAIDS rather than recovering normally or going to Japan, Angle is so underrated as a performer.

^^ Well, Angle did have a few matches in NJPW since they and TNA had a partnership in the late 2000s. He faced Nakamura (before he had charisma) and Tanahashi, who Kurt praised and called him the Japanese Shawn Michaels, and that match, while pretty short for a main event only like 15 minutes long, had a similar layout to when Angle faced Eddie Guerrero and HBK.

Very happy for Angle, one of my top 5 ever. I hope it doesn't mean we won't see him in the ring again but it will just be great to see him back on TV.

Yeah that's a bad induction. While Beth was among the least bad women's wrestlers during a period when all of them were terrible, that's an exceedingly weak defense of putting her in. I had already all but forgotten that she was ever around.

Since all you need for the HOF now is a solid mid-card career and no outside problems, she easily qualifies. Plus being Edge's husband probably helps.

(Not that I'm defending the watered down qualifications in any way.)

WWE apparently signed every competitior that was in the UK tournament just like they did with the cruiserweights with the intention of creating another network exclusive UK show.

I wonder how much this reflects actual numbers and if they still follow through with it. I've heard the tourn was good but I still have little interest, the UK wrestling I've seen hasn't really been my cup of tea.
