Meltzer said he's still planned to feud with Brock and then feud with Roman as the top heel. Ridiculous. Owens is so much better in every area.

Apparently you have never noticed that Wyatt is a few inches taller.

Sting retiring due to the same neck type thing as edge. Did everyone know this already? I didn't

It was known he had a neck injury but it was only released today that it was the same as Edges.

I really didn't want to see Sting wrestle again. His WWE run basically vindicated his decision to not come to WWE right away in the early 2000s because of how ex-WCW wrestlers often were booked/written.

He worked like he was 30 years younger than he was in WWE, doing high flying moves he had no business doing as if he would lose his job and reputation if he didn't.

Nobody expected him to ever wrestle again. Without releasing the diagnosis, Sting mentioned it was very serious. At 56, with a very serious neck injury, people were straight up delusional thinking he'd ever wrestle again.

Sad the way he went out.

edit:

This is how I felt before his match at 31. But yeah, didn't want to put that unless someone else mentioned it.

If Seth comes back as a heel, he can try to be taken seriously by the guy that ended Sting's career.

Owens' dad doesn't work for the WWE.

Imagine Kevin Owens being put in charge of the League of Nations, them being booked competently through Wrestlemania, then eventually being in a feud with champion Roman Reigns, who is being pushed as a babyface who overcomes the odds.

AND NOW LOOK AT ROMAN REIGNS!!!!

Spoiler:

And you want this guy representing your company as the good guy.

What a ****ing idiot.

Cheap Heat podcast pointed out that in the top 3 singles matches at WM, there isn't a single real heel.

They are counting HHH as a face since he gets more positive reactions than RR.

Despite the fact that Shane is clearly the babyface in the Shane/Vince feud, Taker is also a babyface.

And while Lesnar is the de facto heel in the Ambrose match, he's probably the most over babyface in the company.

Nice video. #1 (WWE wasn't his first choice career) isn't exactly fair because it's true of every other wrestler who ever pursued football first.

More pathetic that he actually lost his cool than what he said, imo.

I don't see how you can infer he lost his cool. Could just as easily be that he was sitting with friends laughing when he sent that reply

It's a funny reply that shows Romans true personality which imo isn't necessarily inconsistent with certain babyface types, it's just inconsistent with the mold Vince is forcing him into. I think it shows he's capable of being a good heel or edgy face.

On the other hand, it's probably bad that reigns is showing the fans are getting under his skin.

We can only hope that this is a tease for a mania heel turn or something

You can see it on his face when the crowd reacts negatively to him that Reigns lets the crowd get under his skin. In this case though, who knows.

Either way, one of the most basic principles of being a hero is that you don't personally insult common folk. You don't see Indiana Jones or Rocky or Batman or Captain Kirk insulting random everyday people. Imagine a politician, who is trying to be popular with the people to be elected, making an insult like that.

i agree it doesn't fit with the general babyface role (or even worse, runs counter to it) but i could see some guys like the rock or cm punk being able to pull it off as a face. obviously roman is nowhere near these guys in terms of talent or good will with the fans, but i think roman probably does have an edgier personality that could possibly be well received by the fans if vince would loosen up a bit

The Rock I can see being popular in just about any speaking role, but when he was a face he intentionally made it seem like he was on the side of the fans against other WWE performers; he was the People's champion, after all, talking about his millions and millions of fans. Generally you are stacking the deck against yourself by insulting the people you want behind you, which is why heels like Jericho and Owens are the ones usually insulting people on Twitter.

In the age of the internet wrestling community though, they all seem to have more of an us against them mentality. Everyone with an opinion is a "smark" and is an enemy of "the boys".

I also think this is why he's not coming through the crowd anymore. A weird change right before WM.
