Damn, was just about to post that when I was done with my draft thing. Pretty ****ing funny. All in the (WWE) family.

Would you guys be alright with Rollins beating/losing to Cena and then having HHH turn on Rollins by having Sheamus come out to beat him after Rollins had already beaten Sting? If Sheamus is cashing in his briefcase successfully, is this the best way? I'm going to go with yes, only for the hope Sheamus would never talk. His voice/accent annoys me, I don't even like hearing it in match promos at ppvs.

I had posted a similar story on another board. The only difference I had is that Sheamus cashes in on his own (not under the direction of HHH). HHH then recruits Sheamus the next night on Raw because he's the champ now.

It's more in line with HHH's character--no point in turning on Rollins while he's the champ. But after he lost the championship, it makes sense to hitch your wagon to the champ.

i would rather WWE not fall for the sunk cost fallacy. Sheamus winning MITB was a terrible idea. Don't make a terrible idea worse by giving him the title. Have him lose the cash-in or lose the briefcase.

For those who don't know, Johnny Ace was an accomplished tag team wrestler in Japan, teaming with Steve Williams, winning the championship, and participating in two Meltzer 5 star matches. Here they are:

I think the people who are fantasy booking this and similar scenarios are doing so under the assumption that Sheamus will cash in eventually, so might as well get it over with.

As for me, as much as I don't like Sheamus, I'd rather him have the title than a 56-year old Sting.

All of that. Is there anybody who actually wants him as champ?

I like the idea of using Sheamus as a transitional champion. I wouldn't have him with a reign as short as Backlund in the 90's or Iron Shiek in the 80's, but I could see them using him to have Cena win his 16th championship without having to pin or submit Rollins. I think having Sheamus win via cash in after a Rollins win somewhere gets the title off of him without hurting him.

I think that having Seth lose the belt to a heel via cash-in is bad storytelling.

The pussy heel fortunately escaping with the title over and over again is eventually supposed to get his comeuppance from a babyface. I don't see any reason to worry about him just cleanly dropping the belt to Cena; his role in the main event scene is solid.

I don't see sheamus getting the belt. He hasn't been pushed too well. Granted I fast forward through most of raw each week

i cant even remember the last time i watched sheamus in a singles match. instant channel change for me, and i dont think he has been in any on PPVs recently. if he was that just shows even more so how forgettable they were for me.

i'm with wesr im pretty confident they arent going to give the belt to Sheamus. Unless they want the title on someone who is getting xpac heat, which i dont think they do.

He beat Orton at SummerSlam. Probably Ziggler before that.

Hope they don't give it to Orton either. In before sheamus gets hurt again and the briefcase expires lol

I'd be happy with Sting beating Rollins for the title and Sheamus failing in a cash-in on the following Raw because he underestimates the old man.

It's to lead to Seth's babyface turn against the heel Authority. They are clearly going to a Seth/HHH feud, but Seth might be the heel in the feud.

If you listen to Stone Cold's podcast, you'll sometime hear him say that Randy Orton has the best right hand in the business. I thought he was exaggerating and a punch is a punch. Maybe Orton's is better than others, but it doesn't really matter.

But I've been watching old Shield matches on the Network. Yesterday, it was the Extreme Rules PPV with Evolution vs The Shield. And I understand what he means. Orton and HHH throw great looking punches. They look like they hurt and they look like they come with bad intentions. Dean Ambrose throws the weakest looking punch ever. All arms, just flailing around. Doesn't look like he's even trying to hurt the opponent. The contrast is huge.

Ex-wrestlers all talk about how great Orton's execution is. The guys from Wrestling Observer's Bryan and Vinny show are semi-retired indy wrestlers, and after they went to Raw in Washington recently they went on and on about how amazing Orton's work looks live. Boring character usually but a very talented worker.

Ambrose is one of those wrestlers that the closer you watch, the less good he looks.

Yeah I remember a couple years after Orton debuted and before Cena was huge it seemed like all the veterans were saying Orton was god's gift to wrestling and destined to be the next big thing.

He's kind of like Dolph Ziggler, where he comes across sometimes more as someone LARPing professional wrestling rather than an actual wrestler.

To be fair to Orton, he is great in the ring and the company was built around he and Cena for a long time. For all the flack that he and Cena get, they are better on the mic and in the ring than almost everyone in the WWE, even today. It's just that people are tired of them.

My comment was more of a diss of Ambrose than a criticism of Orton. When you watch Shield matches, it's pretty clear that Rollins and Reigns (just my opinion, I realize many in the IWC don't agree about Reigns) just have something that Ambrose doesn't have. You can picture either of them atop WWE 5 years from now. Ambrose, despite his popularity, seems to have a real ceiling on his potential.

Certainly don't agree that Orton is better than most on the mic. He's behind a lot of guys in that area.

Ambrose has a terrible moveset and his strikes are awful

Reigns gets wayyyy too much hate, dude isn't perfect, but he's def in the upper half of in ring guys in the org
