Months ago it was talked about that he wanted to quit and I think they had to talk him out if it

How does this make sense? They paid him 5 million or so, and he has a severely limited schedule (like 20 dates I think). There is no way they could get their money back having him do anything but programs with the top names.

i'm not suggesting they should have squandered lesnar on zach ryder (as hilarious as that woulda been). miz, ziggler, adr, sheamus even. the people who are going to buy ppvs for lesnar (the whole reason you bring him in in the first place), won't be less inclined to watch him just cuz he isn't facing h

I'm pretty sure that PPV buys for even the biggest stars are strongly influenced by the star power (or whatever you may call it) of their opponent. Cena, Punk, Rock, Undertaker and HHH are probably the only matches they could hope would give them their moneys worth on what seems to have been a 3 PPV-deal.

- The January 7th episode of RAW with The Rock's return and Ryback vs. CM Punk is said to be an "all hands on deck" show with virtually every major big name being called in.

Then, WWE has the big RAW 20th Anniversary show on January 14th where they will be bringing several old names back. They may to bring back some names we don't see too often since some just appeared on the recent Slammys episode. Being in Texas, appearances by The Undertaker, Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels are likely. It's also expected WWE will make the first Hall of Fame announcement that night.

For what it's worth regarding the January 7th episode, it's said that when the show is over, "people will be talking."

That sounds great but it's probably better not to expect too much from WWE.

Why not just do the huge show for the 20th anniversary as to not compete with the national title game? Lol Vince.

1 big show is better than (in their opinion) 2 big shows in a row just because one of the show faces tough competition?

0 Big Shows are still better than any Big Shows.

Apparently Burdz finally got upset with all of Wally's jabs and decided to hack into his account and post as him.

Ryback moving down to WHC? Rock working another PPV?

Rock is pretty much a regular in the WWE from this Monday until Wrestlemania, he is confirmed for a bunch of RAW shows and some SmackDowns as well.

Is there any chance they do something ridiculous for the sake of it like having Ryback win the title?

That's not really a "road to WrestleMania" thing to do I don't think. Another time of year, sure...but we just saw them pass on doing that then also.

i could get behind ryback winning the WHC at WM over big show since they're pretty huge on ryback v show at WM anyway

keeps ryback away from the wwe title, doesn't kill his push

Seeing The Rock on the Elimination Chamber PPV poster makes me feel 100x better about him potentially winning at the Rumble. I thought he was going to win it and take off. Now, I can get him winning the title.

so...uhhh....potentially rock v punk at the rumble might not even happen at all

evidently the wwe thinks a rock appearance at the rumble would be a waste since the buyrate for that ppv is usually strong anyway
