Seth has been fine on the mic. He's supposed to be annoying. He was lousy as a face- but fine as a heel. Has been given some **** stuff to work with in the post Authority mess.

He's supposed to be annoying in the sense that he's supposed to make the crowd want someone to come out and beat the **** out of him. He's not supposed to be annoying in the sense that he picks up a mic and viewers shrug and change the channel back to football because the segment probably won't be very good.

Like, he's not stick-scissors-in-my-head bad on the mic by any means, but he's generic and vanilla as hell. For a point of reference, he's probably below the Orton Line.

i'm probably in the minority but ambrose just doesn't do it for me. he's good in the ring but the loose cannon gimmick is overdone and everything he says on the mic feels so forced.

ziggler makes the most sense for a major face push. he's basically the only face in the company that both marks and casual fans cheer for. he's very good in the ring. his face mic skills aren't bad at all. he's got a fairly good size/look. can't really say that about anyone else on the roster right now imo.

hate to say it but a repackaged orton would be a real shot in the arm right now. main event tier is just incredibly stale.

Generally the rule should be that faces don't talk a lot. The problem is that WWE's best era was when the faces talked a lot. But they happened to have four of the very best face talkers ever all at the same time (Austin, Rock, Foley, Jericho). They still organize the show along these lines even though they don't have the personnel for it.

This poor bastard went from the highest of highs and just seemed to fall off a cliff immediately after he won the belt:

If they were to bring him back, just to put Reigns over, the crowd would turn on him so fast. Wouldn't it make sense then to hold him back until after the Rumble if he were returning so as not to **** on the monster Reigns push?

If the WWE is actually aware that they have to manipulate their audience into NOT booing the **** out of Reigns, then you would think that they might pump the brakes on any big push they might be planning for him, right?

I mean maybe they're just going to force it through regardless of that knowledge, but they sidestepped that very type of thing last year.
