Hard to believe these are isolated instances either. When Vince has so much of the wrestling market share, I'm sure there is significant reluctance to speaking out, especially in an industry that always leaves its workers desperately looking for additional paydays within the business after their time with WWE is done. These latest allegations are disgusting, but in no way surprising.
Anyway, counting down to the announcement that he'll be on Smackdown tonight to receive his latest standing ovation.
I have no idea where to put this, since I'm too lazy to dig up the old TNA/Impact thread, but AXS has been airing old PPVs on Thursday afternoons. I'll occasionally have them on in the background while working. Not in any kind of chronological order or pattern either. And I swear that Kevin Nash has turned on someone nearly every one I've watched the last couple of months.
Also, the more current stuff that I've caught over the last year or so. The Johnny Swinger stuck in the 80s gimmick is some of the funniest **** I've seen in wrestling. I would totally watch a vid of all his Impact stuff over the last 2-3 years. I saw a few weeks ago where he has somebody rolling him around in one of those miniature carts that resembles the ones they rode to the ring for WMIII.
I don't know. This might be absolutely meaningless. But if this leads to confirmation that he is actually stepping away from the reins of creative, I guess I'll have to keep a closer eye on the company to see if it can actually get better now.
Unfortunately, the whole business of being publicly traded likely means that there's just no way to escape three-hour Raws even if HHH (now back in the EVP role) dislikes them as he has indicated.
Yeah, if it's Bruce running all the creative then **** that, nothing gained from a wrestling standpoint. Though maybe he can finally give us Sheik Tugboat in the WrestleMania main event.
