Wrestling- NVG (SPOILERS inside view at your own risk) - Page 402

When I tried to think of what even happened at last year's Mania, my first three thoughts were:
1. Way too ****ing long
2. Orton/Wyatt maggots in the ring
3. Taker/Roman disaster

I couldn't quickly come up with anything else. I know that iso liked that Lesnar/Goldberg match, and it was mostly well-received in the live thread here IIRC, but I didn't care for it.

Upon looking at Wikipedia there was some stuff in the first half of the show that was good, and it's a bit odd that I had just totally forgotten AJ vs. Shane since it was great, but it speaks to just how much of an effect it has to close a show out badly.

As previously stated, the first two hours, or few matches easily keep it from being a bottom five all timer. 32 was a bottom fiver and 33 was easily the better show. AJ/Shane, KO/Jericho, the women’s 4 way match and the tag team ladder match with the Hardy’s returning were all entertaining. Add in Lesnar/Goldberg being really good for what it was and needed to be puts the show in the lower end of the middle tier of Manias.

I think they just don't let them be themselves. Now I know Vince has charisma for days and is a legend but I believe people could cut heel promos like his if they were able to just be natural. These people are so rigid while trying to remember these garbage lines that nobody would ever say if they wanted to accomplish the same thing these wrestlers are.
