I think we'll get Braun/HHH with Trips having various midcarders ganging up on Braun throughout the feud/match.

Steph rehired him so HHH could screw him at RR/get his revenge

EC3 apparently gonna debut at Rumble as he cancelled an indy appearance that was the same day.

Part of me thought this too. It'd be weird to have HHH screw him and not have Braun take the pin though. I mean it's easily doable but it doesn't have the impact it would if he led Braun into an F-5 > pin somehow. If I had to put money on one way or the other, I'd bet that HHH costs him the title at RR.

Quote:
However after all of that, if recent history has told us anything, it’s that HHH loves his 30 minute psychology filled epic matches
Man, last years match was so bad, heatless, and boring. It had potential. I've sat here for at least 3 minutes trying to think who he faced at WM 32 and w/o looking it up, I really have no idea who it was...that's how epic it was. That quote is also exactly why I don't rule out Angle as an opponent but I don't expect it. I think HHH vs Angle at this point in time would be worse than Seth/HHH from last year

The reason why I think Braun would lose despite HHH being the old guard that's trying to act like Cartman and "make, make it right" is that Braun's technically a heel(?). Despite being the most popular guy on the roster, if you look on wrestling forums, people think he's a heel. I certainly don't. However, if you look at that gif I posted, you can easily see that HHH is in the right here. He was pretty much gotten from behind and terrified. Then when the clip's over, he was crushed by two powerslams. Sure that was after an attempted sneak attack of his own but the lasting visage is HHH crushed. But Trips also needs a win for "credibility" in future years and Braun's young. /rambling paragraph

I'd happily bet $10 or $20 on HHH winning if the match happens for a fun sweat during Mania if anyone wants. Would have to book before odds come out, obv.

The psychology gored epic comment was supposed to be sarcastic. Well sarcastic in that they are boring as hell, but I think he doesn’t think so. I think that he thinks he is still the best worker on the roster.

As for who he faced at 32, this goes to what we were both talking about. Not only did he face Roman Reigns at WM 32, it was the main event. And not only did he face Roman Reigns in the main event of WM 32, but he was the WWE champ at the time. I can totally understand how you could forget, because I have watched it twice, did a write up about it once and the only two things I remember about is that Roman won and Steph took a spear and was gone from TV for a few months.

Oh, by the way, this is ChachiArcola/AJD804, for whatever reason I was logged out of my ChachiArcola acct and I have no idea what the password is and I can’t make a new one, so I dusted off this old acct with a different email attached to it

That's exactly how I took it fwiw. I was just emphasizing how ****ty HHH's mind for his matches is now with my flippant comment.

lol I forgot to look this up after my post. Even when typing my post I was trying to remember who it was that he faced. It's possible that at that moment, I could've named every single WM main event off the top of my head but that one. That was an awful match. It was so bad that I think HHH should apologize for it. That one also had potential but it had to be a 30 minute epic, as you said.

You got no luck with your 2p2 accounts. You could probably get that CA account back though if you pm Bobo or someone up there.

Anyone that wrestled in the 90s is 100% trash and has no business being in the ring as a competitor.

Undertaker, Shane-o, Kurt Angle, HHH... anytime I hear anything about these guys wrestling it just makes me mad.

I can't tell you how much I hated them having Oldieberg come back to trash the current monster, then disappear again.

I know it's been said a hundred times, but all that shows is that Goldberg is way better than Bork, NOBODY else can even come close to beating Bork, so therefore Goldberg is infinitely better than everyone that's not Bork.

Which means who cares who the champ is because there's this old dude that is apparently the god of wrestling.

I’m sure most of the appearances Monday night will be quick cameos and whatnot, but with as many people as they say will be there, it sounds like this show is going to be 7 hours long

Now the rumor of Mark Henry is that he signed an Ambassador deal.

Not sure how different that is from his current role. As it is, Henry is almost never on TV and I don't believe he tours either. (If profightdb is accurate, he hasn't toured since 2016 and only had 3 TV matches in 2017.)

Seems like he just wants to be a part-timer. I assume that he doesn't want the "retired" label because he doesn't want to misrepresent himself as someone who never intends to wrestle again.

These people are ****ing idiots. This is from WWE Chief Financial and Strategy Officer George Barrios

Quote:
WWE surprised to learn Network subscribers actually wanted even more in-ring content:

At the TMT Conference In Las Vegas on January 9, as well as at the aforementioned Needham Conference, Barrios lauded new data analytics that the company now has access to thanks to 10 million user accounts that have been created directly on the company’s platforms like the WWE Network and WWE.com.

He mentioned WWE was surprised to learn Network subscribers wanted more in-ring wrestling programming, perhaps as opposed to programs like interview features, documentaries and reality series.

"One of the things that shocked even us when we launched the network is how much in ring content people were watching,” Barrios said. “They already have five hours live, RAW and SmackDown, on every every week. Well, those hardcore fans wanted more live [content].”
Breaking news! Wrestling fans want to watch wrestling and not **** reality shows on wrestlers.

Also, that last quote is odd to me. I take that more as "they have 5 hours but maybe they're watching old stuff instead of RAW and SD because our current product needs improvement"

I think that last quote may have something to do with a survey they sent out not too long ago. They asked a question about what kind of programming we would like to see. Televised live events was one option, and I’m guessing that was a lot more popular than they expected. It’s something that I mentioned on here a long time ago.

Yes you take it correctly because you are not a ****** or yes man. That is 100 percent why I even still have the network

More delusion from Vince: From an interview with HHH about tomorrow nights RAW.

Quote:
So when you wake up the morning after, is it, "OK, now we have to figure out how this lasts another 25 years"?

"Dude, that's every week. A year ago, Vince [McMahon] was at WrestleMania, and WrestleMania got done, and he took his headset off, took a deep breath and was like, 'Man, that was good.' And one of our writers walked over to him and handed him the script for Monday Night Raw. He goes, 'That's it? That's my offseason? Here we go.' And that is what we do. Tuesday morning when we wake up, that will be the start of the next 25 years."
Yeah, I really don't think it was good. Perhaps he didn't watch the Taker/Roman match? The Orton/Wyatt match? The Seth/HHH match? The only "good" parts of the show were the opener (Shane/AJ), Brock/Goldberg, and the Hardy's return.

Look, I agree with you. But it stopped mattering a long time ago. WWE brings in somewhere around $50 million in profit every year (basing this statement on financial reports I saw like 2-3 years ago so maybe that's changed), largely due to its merchandizing deals (I'm not sure about the WWE Network or cable TV deals). I wish producing continuously crappy content would break the company, but they are well past that point. I can't fathom that they can make that much money with a product that bad (to me, anyway), but they do.

I mean, there's a reason I haven't watched WWE at all in about 18 months, and haven't watched any live WWE in like, gosh, 5-6 years?

Last year was not remotely close to a bottom 5 Mania. First 2 hours were great.
