I like how the color of his damn jacket is still the most vivid memory of that promo.

I still always felt bad he didn’t go over Cena at MITB in ‘13 after this promo to be a brief transitional champion and have the WWE Title at least once.

I’ll always have the Hall of Pain run at least.

Hall of Pain was tremendous, but he was fortunate to even still be around to make that run after sucking for like a decade. I think he made out well in kayfabe accomplishments for what he mostly brought to the table.

Goldberg is this years headline HOF inductee. Going to have to put up with more bull**** promos and videos hyping up the worst wrestler of all time.

Well one good thing is that Edge is no longer the worst headliner ever

I got Goldy/Brock as runner-up WWE MotY! This is more because 2017 was an awful year for in ring entertainment but damn was that a fun match.

Differing minds, but I think everything with Oldberg is instant death. Guy sucks so much, and I hated everything he touched this year.

A couple of random views about RR/WM:

1) Alvarez has reported a couple of times that Cena's match at WM will be "bigger than the title". I'd love to see Cena win the Rumble and completely bury the championships by foregoing grabbing his 17th and request a match vs. Taker instead as if it has any significance at all.

2) Member when Braun did this:

Does anyone?

3) Everyone seems to think that HHH is going to face Shane or Angle at WM. How delusional am I to think HHH is not only going to face Braun but beat him at WM?

4) Does anyone want to see Braun/HHH? I want to see the story finish but Braun's still green af and looks pretty bad in singles matches that go > 3-5 minutes.

5) If Braun doesn't face HHH, who does he face? It feels like winning the battle royal is a huge step down for him.

6) Please let AJ face Nakamura and just give them 20 minutes to go to war with.

Any chance this Paige thing is a work? Thought it was interesting that she came out in her gear last night, and Cole mentioned she wouldn't be competing at THIS year's RR.

Yep. It's gotta be extremely unlikely though. She announced last night on RAW talk or w/e show they have after RAW that she's not going to be in the match but she'll be at the event to cheer on her Absolution teammates.

Considering Steph "hired" Braun back, they're probably passing over the Braun/HHH thing this year. If Brock pins Kane at the Rumble, Stroman is so pissed he goes out and wins the Rumble. Comes out around 15 or so, clears the ring, eliminates each of the other competitors himself.

I mentioned last Tuesday in the RAW thread that Joe injured himself squashing Rhyno. He's been removed from the list of RR participants. KO missed the last couple of house shows for an undisclosed injury so speculation on him missing real time soon.

An easy way to get Braun/HHH back on is having HHH cost Braun the title at RR. Easy Game.

As a huge Brock Lesnar mark, I'm shamelessly copy/pasting this from another forum:
Quote:
Samoa Joe was recently a guest on CBS Sports "In This Corner Podcast". During the podcast, Joe, who is currently out of action with a right foot injury, discussed working with Brock Lesnar last year. Below are some highlights:

How to deal with Lesnar:

"When you are dealing with Brock Lesnar, you have to show up ready to deal with Brock Lesnar. Brock is the type of guy who is not going to give you an inch. If you are going to get anything from him, you have to take it and he's going to dare you to take it. Brock is a guy who feeds off of emotion of fear and courage, and if you come out and you're flat and you're not putting out what he is putting out, he's going to eat you alive. But that has never been an issue with me."

Working a match with Lesnar:

"If we are going to be in the ring together, Brock knows we are coming for a fight. I mean that literally and figuratively. There is no pulling anything with Brock. Its a ****ing shoot! If you show signs of weakness, he's an apex predator, he's going to pounce on it and he's going to attack and overwhelm.

"You have to know how to deal with it when you are in there with Brock. He is a person who is going to accept nothing but the very best and if you lose your courage and don't bring the very best, he'll have no problems mauling you right there and doing everything he can to absolutely wipe you out without mercy."
Brock so much

With regards to HHH/Braun, I don’t think you are decisions to think HHH would go over, but I also don’t think it would happen either. To be fair to HHH, he only has two wins at WMs since 27. Once against Lesnar at 29 and Sting at 31. Other than that he has “done the favors”. I also think it’s really easy to get to a match like this and also cover up Braun’s shortcomings. You could have Stephanie pissed at Braun for his actions last week and have them have a confrontation. Then a couple weeks later have something else happen that pisses Braun off, however this time Steph fakes an injury during it getting HHH’s hackles up and they make a weapons match or something like that for Mania. That would allow the match to have some length while also highlighting Braun’s strengths.

However after all of that, if recent history has told us anything, it’s that HHH loves his 30 minute psychology filled epic matches, so I could also see HHH getting a different opponent for Mania. And if that were to happen, there is no way Braun doesn’t get some kind of singles match on the card. He is easily the most popular wrestler right now, so I would think they would put him on the card. The only issue is, who would you match him up with? If this was the mid 80’s, I could see a handicap match against the Miztourage, and if he wins he gets 5 minutes alone with The Miz, but I’m guessing that’s too old school and southern for Vince. So I have no idea what the right answer is there.
