Not so fast!

Quote:
- At this time, the Elimination Chamber match is set to feature Randy Orton defending against John Cena, Sheamus, Daniel Bryan, Antonio Cesaro and Christian. Christian's spot in the match is said to not be completely locked in at this time. If WWE decides that they have a better angle/wrestler to take the spot, they will run an injury angle and Christian will be the man removed from the match.

Scott Hall and Cyndi Lauper are apparently in the HOF.

Assuming this is true, this is the year to induct DDP (assuming he will get in sometime).

I doubt DDP gets in.

DDP was one of WCW's only two mega stars that they created. He definitely deserves a spot if the HOF truly means something even without the DDP yoga stuff which has helped so many wrestlers.

As an aside, anyone tried his yoga stuff? I am honestly thinking of giving it a try.

Just reminds you of how much the WWE screwed up with DDP.

I mean he was like 70 years old by the time he got to WWE. There wasn't much of a run left in him. I agree he wasn't used well though.

I've been doing it for a little over a year and I love it. Made a trip to the Accountability Crib last March and hung out with all of them -- it was like 2 weeks after Hall moved in.

Run as in title run, maybe, maybe not. Run as in some noteworthy victories, a proper feud and high billing - I think he definitely still had at least one run left. If goram Batista can main even WM at 48 and Flair can retire at WM at 75 he definitely wasnt restricted just from his age. He was a lot healthier than Nash was at the time and Nash was main eventing PPVs for the WWF title (or WWE if it was in that time, too lazy to fact check it).

What kind of stuff is it - how does it differ from normal yoga?

One of the tag lines is "It's not your mama's yoga!" It doesn't focus on becoming one with nature and and all the humming and such. There are several Youtube videos you can view that show some of the actual workouts.

I introduced it to one of my female friends who has practiced traditional yoga, as well. I will see how she describes the differences and let you know.

When she responds to me, I'll post in the "DDP doing great things" thread so that I don't sidetrack this thread any further. Feel free to PM me any specific questions.

This. He was so under utilised simply because he was a star made in WCW. Should have put him up against The Rock and billed him properly. There was money to be made there.

DDP was in the spotlight for 3 years and did nothing of any interest outside of that. His most memorable matches/feuds included Jay Leno and David Arquette. He was completely carried in his feud with Savage. His work with Hogan was unbearable but that was probably mostly Hogan's fault. I don't see him as a mega star at all. Maybe a top WCW guy for a year or 2 but definitely not mega star status.

With that said the HOF is pretty much bs at this point so it wouldn't matter anyway.

DDP is going to be on the show 'Shark Tank' this coming week, looking for an investor in his yoga company.

I can totally see Cuban investing in this. Also, Diamond Cutter on O'Leary one time?

Damon actually might have the best network as he already has links in similar companies; it was him that invested in Billy Blanks Jr

Meh hopefully he doesnt take an offer. The advertising from that show alone cause like all businesses that go on it to skyrocket in sales

Exposure on this show is awesome, though iirc I read that they take 3-5% of the company for appearing on the show.

I think its 3, but yeah. Incredibly profitable show for the network I feel. Especially since its not their money spent on investments

They actually don't do that anymore, at Cuban's request.
