Disco, if you missed his 2011 monster push then you missed a thing of beauty.

All of us would have agreed otherwise.

It was such a good run. Im still upset it ended so soon. I remember him getting RKOd in the title match and thinking "YUP standard WWE" then he kicks out and demolishes Orton for the win. Pretty awesome

I loved Cole's call there: "Randy Orton just realized that he can't beat Mark Henry." I was sad how it ended as well, except at least we got an excellent DB title run as a result.

He was the only reason I watched Smackdown. His heel run was awesome.

Here's a **** ton of spoilers:

>The Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H rematch is still scheduled to take place at WrestleMania 29. There is also talk of adding a stipulation to the match.

>WWE has announced that The Rock will be appearing on the January 7th Raw show. Also set for the show will be the CM Punk vs. Ryback rematch. WWE is stacking the show, due to the BCS championship game airing that night. Sports analysts have predicted that the game will do close too or over 30 million viewers, which would make it one of if not the most watched show in cable television history.

>Chris Jericho has reportedly contacted WWE about coming back for another short run. According to reports, Jericho would like to return and work a program that would culminate at WrestleMania, where he would put over a younger talent.

>The two sides are still talking, and nothing has been signed at this point. The big roadblock is that WWE wants a full time schedule from Jericho, while Jericho wants to continue to work on outside ventures, and also keep control over them.

>Sin Cara was attacked by the Shield on Tuesday's edition of WWE Smackdown, which was a way to write him off WWE TV. Cara has been working through a knee injury, and now needs time off to deal with it. At this time, it has not been determined how severe the knee injury is.

>Mysterio suffered an "off camera attack from the Shield," but was actually not in the building. Mysterio is not injured and his departure from WWE television is said to be related to the confidential family situation that kept him off TV earlier this month. Mysterio flew in to work TLC and Raw, and then returned home. At this time, there is no timetable for his return.

>With Alberto Del Rio headed for a full babyface turn plans of an onscreen romance with Rosa Mendes appear to be off.

>WWE has made the call to put the new Fandango gimmick on hold. There is no confirmation that the gimmick has been dropped completely, but WWE is no longer running vignettes and there are no plans for him to debut any time soon.

>WWE did not promote Ric Flair's return on Monday, likely due to the ongoing WWE vs. TNA Lawsuit. This is also likely the reason that Flair has not signed a contract with WWE. While Flair was on Raw Monday night, RAW viewership rose from around 4.1 million viewers to 4.7 million viewers, with big spikes in the key male demographics.

>The return was planned for several weeks, with several angles for him being pitched, including one where he would introduce his daughter, Ashley, who is currently training at NXT as Charlotte.

>Flair initially was not going to be doing anything physical, but those plans quickly changed. When Flair arrived in Philadelphia, he was ordered to undergo an EKG to make sure his heart was healthy enough for him to get physical on RAW with Punk, Heyman and The Shield. The return was kept a secret from the crew, and while there was buzz internally that he could appear, he was kept in a trailer away from everybody else.

>While it is said that Flair will not be wrestling for WWE, he will be doing some kind of on air feud with CM Punk, likely after Punk's match with The Rock at the Royal Rumble.

>Ring of Honor has announced that that the Defy or Deny match returns January 19th at the Turner Hall Ballroom in Milwaukee. In the non-title match, ROH Champion Kevin Steen faces Michael Elgin, Roderick Strong, and Eddie Edwards. Here are the rules of the match:

The rules of a Defy or Deny match are as follows: an elimination match in which if Edwards, Strong, or Elgin are the winner they will receive a future shot at the ROH World Title but should Steen be the last man standing, then the man he pinned to win will never receive another World Title match as long as Kevin Steen remains champion.

I know everyone says I'm emo about the Shield, but I would love a Jericho/Ambrose fued leading up to Wrestlemania. I'm not really sure what other young talent he would want to put over, maybe Bryan.

I wouldn't hate a Jericho/Cesaro feud, certainly would bring back a little prestige to the US Title

Maybe Ziggler again after he cashes in at the Rumble and defends at Elimination Chamber.

jericho/ambrose is the most logical feud per those parameters. ziggler doesn't need the help

HHH has to get his win back obviously. I'm pretty sure this is the only win HHH never got back and is the reason he constantly feels the need to bury everyone:

especially considering the stipulation will be some absurd "if lesnar wins he gets h's job if he loses he's fired" sort of bull****

i'm baffled, but not remotely surprised, how terribly the wwe botched lesnar's return. they bring him in to utilize young talent and help them go over and instead he faces cena h and h

good effort

Something is up with ADR . He was announced for a title match with big show at the smackdown tapings. He didn't appear nor was he mentioned

He was announced for it at that show? Or at a previous show?

EDIT: Well that question made little sense. If he wasn't mentioned then it couldn't have also been announced at that show.

Announced at the raw tapings last night. Nothing mentioned tonight. I assume he either quit or got in trouble for something

Are there rumors to that effect, or are you just sleuthing? I can't find any rumors about him. WWE does change plans on the fly all the time.
