Just finished Gary Hart's book, and if you were a fan of his, or NWA wrestling from the 60's on, I highly recommend it. I didnt pay the outrageous prices on amazon or ebay, I was able to somehow find a pdf to download right to my phone. If I was able to do it, then Im sure everyone else can. Also Gary Hart was not the biggest Dave Meltzer fan and devotes almost an entire chapter to him.

After reading the Gary Hart book described in the previous post, I've read the Flair book which I enjoyed a lot. It was written in 2004 or 5 so some of it is dated such as Flair burning through 3 divorces. But still it was very good, and he comes off as very honest just like he does today.

I am now about halfway through The Death of WCW and I am really enjoying it. I will say as much as I despise Hulk Hogan/Terry Bollea, somehow that feeling has been amplified 100 times. What a piece of crap he is. I highly recommend this book as well, just make sure you get the 10th Anniversary edition of it.

Just finished the Ric Flair book. I would gladly read another 1k pages of stories told by Flair, and I'm sure he could do that quite easily. I've heard a few of his podcasts, so I'll accept that.

Just moved on to The Death of WCW.

Thinking about the Gary Hart book, but I only vaguely know who he is, but I think I'd enjoy reading parts about the old territories.

Also been thinking of reading the Bret Hart book again because I enjoyed it so much the first time I read it but wondering what else I could read before then.

I recommend the Gary Hart book very much. If you want some background on him, there is a documentary that used to be on YouTube about WCCW. It's not the WWE one, it's different. I think it might still be on there, but I can't remember the name of it. Also, you are going to have to find a free pdf version of the book, because the actual book was a very limited print and it sells for about $300 and there is no e book for it.

That's nuts...It certainly seems like something I should read if I want to learn more about that era. I know I'm lucky to have gotten to experience the Monday Night Wars, but reading the Flair book and the beginning of the WCW book and reading about all the great wrestling that was on TBS in the early 80's is a part of wrestling history I also would have liked to experience first hand.

Also search YouTube for Great Kabuki. Hart was his manager and probably some of his best work was with him on TBS for Georgia Championship Wrestling

Let me also add that finding the pdf online isn't hard. If I did it than anyone here can do it. I googled it and I'm pretty sure it was on the first page, and was able to download to my phone.

I'm almost done Booker T's second book.

It's okay, kind of disappointing. It's more of a summary of his career and he rarely offers his opinions on things. "I fought Triple H at WrestleMania and it was a great match." Yeah, okay, but you should have won. He briefly mentions the racist promos H cut leading up to the show, I was hoping he would come unglued and let Triple H or whoever wrote the promo have it, but he never did.

I wasn't expecting a Mick Foley type book, or even a Y2J type, but a little more personal opinion would have been nice. There is no WWE logo on the book, so presumably there was nothing holding him back.

It's okay, but not great. Skip this one.

Except for the fact that he still works for the WWE.

Of course there is always something holding him back. Potentially closing the door on paid work in the future.

Now he gets to talk nonsense on the rubbish pre-PPV shows that nobody cares about, giving expert "insight".

Anyway, Scott Hall and Bischoff respectively have their own dvds coming out. Will definitely be getting both. Actually really like both. Loved Bischoff's book. Very good.

Yeah, no way is Booker (employed by the WWE still) trashing them.

I'd like for Hall to write a book, think it would be fantastic. Will definitely be picking up his DVD.

I was surprised how great Hall was on the Austin podcast. I expected a broken old man, but nope. Not at all.

This is my sentiments exactly. Loved the part about pro wrestling's beginnings. But most of the bios were of wrestlers I already knew about, so I didn't learn much.

Not a bad book at all. But could have been better. Still, an easy and enjoyable read.

Just got Daniel Bryan's book and will probably start reading it this weekend.

I'm only mentioning because I just reread them and I know a few people haven't read them yet, but Foley's first two books are really, really good. They are also vastly different which is pretty cool.

Has anybody read Bob Backlund's book.

All the online reviews I've found make it sound really good.
