As always, my company's writeups are on the way. I've been pretty busy plus I came across the video games draft recently and ended up downloading a load of classics on my Wii so most of my free time has been spent on that.

ETA until first writeup ~1 month.

Btw I liked your video games team Disko; it almost made up for selecting Bret Hart in the first round two drafts in a row.

By the way Gordon Solie is on the block if anyone wants him. I'm gonna go with Vince on play-by-play until his heel turn and it feels like a waste to just use Solie for 10 years or so.

(Yup, I'm going with Vince over Solie, sue me.)

Oh FFS. Goldeneye was the most overrated bull**** ever. And I couldn't escape it; my friends wanted to play that **** all the time. I've only seen disko's first pick, but I'm immediately deeply prejudiced against his entry.

Actually, I wasn't a huge Goldeneye fan either (despite my Nintendo bias), and I was in the same boat as you where my friends wanted to play it all the time (I always used to push for No Mercy ldo), but it was still a hugely popular game and is considered the GOAT console multiplayer by many, so it's a decent first round pick. I'd have probably gone for the original SMB in that spot personally though.

Disko's team wasn't my favourite FWIW, but it was one of the best and I felt like I should give him props since I always hate on his wrestling drafts

Gorilla and Bobby start out the show.
Gorilla: “Today we will have the other 3 matches of the first round of the U.S. title tournament. In the first match, it’s Ole Anderson going up against Eddie Gilbert.”
Bobby: “That’s just what the world needs. A midget representing the United States as champion. Do you know what kind of embarrassment that would be?”
Gorilla: “No bigger then the embarrassment I feel from having to work with you, surely. In the next first round match, it will be Pedro Morales, the odds on favorite to win the entire thing, going up against your “mystery man” Bobby Heenan. After today, we will finally be able to drop this charade, and the world will see once and for all that you were the one that brought that awful monster Takayama to the United States.”
Bobby has a big smirk.
“Pedro Morales, #1 ranked contender in the entire world. What a joke. My man will embarrass you in every way. He dresses better than you do, he looks better than you, he sure is smarter than you are, and most of all he is a better wrestler. And he is from the United States, not to say that Takayama isn‘t!”
Gorilla: Highly unlikely. And the final 1st round match. It will be Eddie Graham, one of the all time great tag team wrestlers, now trying his luck in singles competition once again, going up against an opponent that as of today was TBD. His original opponent was injured earlier this week I understand.
Bobby: “Where is Jerry Graham? I knew he was a great guy just by how he walked (Vince Mcmahon stole his power walk from Jerry Graham apparently).
Gorilla: I assume he finally has been placed in an asylum. Eddie has been hearing a lot of cheers since Jerry disappeared. Let’s get down to the ring before somebody gets ideas and puts the Weasel into one!

-Ole Anderson comes down and grabs the mic. He cuts an intense interview: “Eddie Gilbert is one of those guys that can’t really wrestle; he can only sneak up behind people and attack them. Down where you come from, you may be a big star, but this is world wide wrestling. Nobody wants to see a goofball from Tennessee on global programming, and certainly you have no chance one on one vs. me!”

-”Hot Stuff” hits and the fans eagerly await Gilbert’s return to in ring action.

"And his opponent, weighing 222 pounds, originally from Lexington Tennessee, but now residing in Every Girls Dream, Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert!"

Eddie grabs the mic and stares at Ole: "Ole Anderson, you ought to be arrested for murder, because when you walked out here, you killed the ratings."

Eddie starts fast, using some quick high impact moves on Ole. However, Ole turns the tide hitting a few power moves. Ole goes for a headlock pinning combination.

Gorilla: Highly unlikely you are going to pin a guy with a headlock.
Brain: I’ve pinned a guy with a headlock.
Gorilla: Where, in your dreams?

Ole stays on the offensive, and the fans chant "Eddie! Eddie!" He goes for the diving knee drop, but Eddie is a ½ step too fast and moves out of the way. Ole doesn’t go all the way to the mat and instead rolls, but right into a DDT. Eddie then connects with the hot shot for an upset victory, just barely getting the 3 before Ole kicks out as the fans erupt and Eddie rolls out of the ring to celebrate.

------------Another vignette of Kobashi doing moves and getting pops. Gorilla mentions that he heard that when she was in Japan, women’s champ Madusa became close with Kobashi.
Brain: “Madusa was great fortune for her parents. Her mom wanted a girl, and her dad wanted a boy, and they were both happy.”
Gorilla: “Which means she had two more happy parents than you did.”
Brain: “You can’t bring me down right now Monsoon. Up next, you are going to see the first United States Champion."
------------------------

After the break, camera is on the ring announcer Cappetta. The fans erupt as Pedro Morales makes his way towards the ring and is announced.
Gorilla: “What an ovation for Pedro Morales! Let’s see if he can shut Bobby Heenan up.

And wrestling fans his opponent, Bobby Heenan presents………………………………........

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jq_GDQj53IQ

Gorilla: “Oh I can’t believe it! It’s not Takayama…It’s Tully Blanchard! Tully Blanchard, one of the finest technical wrestlers in the world, and deceptively powerful…unfortunately, he is prone to try and bend the rules to suit his own purposes.”

The match is a lot of psychology, and Tully making Pedro look good and taking hard bumps. It appears Tully will win due to a foreign object Brain gave him being used, but instead Gilbert comes down with the bat and is about to hit Tully…instead Pedro rolls Tully up while he is distracted for the victory.

---------------------------------------------

Back in the studio, it’s Gorilla solo talking about some upcoming events. Brain comes in during the middle, huffing and puffing, then flipping out.
Brain “Did you see that! Tully had him beat, 1-2-3, when that damn hillbilly came out with a bat and cheated him out of the win!
Gorilla: “You do realize we can all see you gave Tully a foreign object?”
Brain: “What? That was a watch; he just wanted to see how long it took him to beat that garbanzo bean.”
Gorilla: “One way, or another, Pedro Morales moves on, and your man is knocked out!”

-------------------
Back to the ring, it’s David Von Erich, increasing in popularity, with a couple girls trying to grab and kiss him. He beats up a random ugly heel looking wrestler in almost no time, with increasingly crisp and powerful moves.

Gorilla: “We could be soon looking at the youngest world champion in history. Buddy Rogers better be watching this.”
Brain: "I don't understand why Von Erich doesn't just go to college instead. In Texas, all you have to do is keep half your teeth for four years and you graduate.

-------------------------

Bockwinkel and Stevens (with Heenan) promo for an upcoming match at a house show against the Midnight Rockers. Bockwinkel starts into a cerebral rant on the Rockers and what he will do to them. When he says “You are looking at the #2 rated wrestler in the entire world. All the 8 to 5 lifers who wear white socks may cheer you Rockers…” Ray Stevens looks at Bockwinkel a bit strangely and interrupts.
Stevens: “Why is it that you, Nick, are rated as #2 in the world, yet I am rated #3? I’ve defeated everybody I’ve ever stepped in the ring with, and have been doing so for years. I‘ve been a main event star since age 17, even younger than those punks the Midnight Rockers!”
Bockwinkel: “Don’t be a belligerent recalcitrant Ray. Subdue your emotions. Ray and I stand on the mountain, and have done so for the last 3 ½ years. Get to work, Rockers. When you try to crawl over the top of that mountain, you will be kicked back down to the bottom like every other cretin that has dared to step into the ring with us.”

---------------

------Eddie Graham brings his good looks and a smile down to the ring, high fiving fans and even stopping to talk to two different people.

And now wrestling fans, his opponent………………………

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZD4ezDbbu4

Fans start cheering expecting Bill Watts

Gorilla: Could it be? Could he have entered himself in the tournament, returning to the ring to try and grab the gold for his country?

Instead, Takayama walks out to jeers, grinning like a cat who has the cream.

Gorilla: “What a Benedict Arnold. He wasn't born in the USA; he can't even ask for change in English!”

Eddie Graham has no chance seemingly at first. His offense only stuns Takayama for the most part, and Takayama arrogantly lets him hit moves that are not very effective, until he nails Takayama with a perfect punch and Takayama goes down seemingly out cold from how he goes down.

Gorilla: “The former state power lifting champion apparently has knocked him completely out!”

Graham comes off the ropes for a knee drop, and Takayama still seems out cold as Graham goes for the pin. Takayama barely kicks out before 3. Signs of Eddie’s old personality come out as he yells at the ref viciously about a slow count. Takayama stumbles up…Eddie goes for another punch and it gets blocked, and Takayama connects with a punch of his own, then a huge suplex variant, and another, before hitting the huge Everest suplex for a 3 count.

Gorilla “3, or 33, this one is over. Bobby never did make it back after the interview with his tag team champions; maybe he got lost somewhere. If only we could be so lucky. We are out of time for this week fans! -in the ring it is Takayama apparently considering once again attacking a fallen opponent- Gorilla Monsoon for Bobby Heenan, saying so long everybody.”

Gorilla: “Another action packed episode of World Wide Wrestling today…”
Bobby is on the phone: “Yes. Exactly. He closed the show without me.”
Gorilla: “Why are you on the phone on live television?”
Brain: “What…you are putting me on hold?”
Gorilla: "A living disgrace. In any case, we have the semifinals of the United States title match tonight. The Rock Don Muraco takes on Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert, in a contest of Brawn vs. brains and technique. And, you do not want to miss this one folks. The irresistible force meets the immovable object, as Pedro Morales takes on Takayama."
Bobby: "Don’t forget. Tonight. Takayama vs. Pedro Morales."
Gorilla: "I just said that."
Bobby: "Shows how important you are. I didn’t even notice you were here."
Gorilla: "Also on the show is the sensational youngster, David Von Erich. And, here today for an interview, none other then the world champion Buddy Rogers."
Brain: "That’s the greatest professional athlete in the world today, right Monsoon!"

First U.S. title match

Gilbert comes out with a lot of energy to Hot Stuff. Then, Jesus Christ Superstar blares as Muraco takes his time getting to the ring. Gilbert makes Muraco look like the strongest man in the world at first, flying from his offense and going down hard. Gilbert makes a comeback, working on Muraco’s neck and doing some power moves on it.

Gorilla: “Don’t walk into a man’s own backyard; trying to match strength with Muraco is not what you want to do.”

Hot Stuff starts going for the legs instead, then Muraco kicks him off into the turnbuckle when he tries the figure four. Shoulderbreaker, diving head butt, military press slam…then Muraco peels Gilbert’s carcass off the ground and has him up for the tombstone. He taunts the fans with the thumbs down. But his legs have been weakened, and Gilbert manages to reverse it, and fall forward for his own tombstone. The impact sends Gilbert’s body just barely on top of Muraco for the pin, and he simply lays on top of Muraco apparently out as his music plays and the fans screech.

Buddy Rogers in a studio promo:

“The United State title tournament. The winner gets to represent 300 million people. Quite impressive. But I’m the world champion. 7 billion people in the world recognize me, and want to be where I am. For you average Americans out there, 7 billion is indeed a lot more than 300 million. I’m talked about in Berlin. I’m talked about in Tokyo. I’m talked about in New York City. And I’m talked about in Chicago. Coming up at the AllState Arena, Pedro Morales gets a chance to step up to the pinnacle of the sports world. Or, so he thinks. Because he has no chance against me in reality.

They don’t call me the total package for nothing. They call me that because I have it all. The natural ability. The work ethic. The strength, the speed, the intellect, the endurance. As every girl who has stepped into bed with me knows, I can go all night long. Step onto Broadway! Morales, I’d be embarrassed to be seen out at a bar with you and your ten dollar shirt, ten cent brain, and five dollar six pack gut! But I’m happy to step into the ring with you. Because it’s just another easy victory for me.

----------David Von Erich match.

He’s nearly got the match won when Buddy Rogers comes out and stands at ring side in a very expensive suit. David Von Erich’s temper flares and he starts charging towards him, jumping almost out of the ring thru the middle rope. Buddy moves, but David stops himself before hurling to the ground. However, his opponent rolls him up for a 1-2-3, and his undefeated streak is over.

“What a miscarriage of justice”

“If Von Erich was a burger flipper at Mcdonald’s, he still would be the biggest idiot in his profession.”

Bill Watts comes out with a mic. “No, no, no! That is not how we do it around here anymore. Not while I’m in charge. We are going to restart the match!

The opponent charges at Von Erich, but runs right into a spinning elbow, falling swiftly to the mat. Von Erich locks in the claw, and the opponent struggles for a couple seconds, then passes out for a pin. Von Erich looks around for Rogers, but Rogers has scampered off.

It cuts to the “Learning from the Brain” area, which is on the way a wrestler must take to get backstage from the ring. Heenan “My guest this week, the…” He sees David Von Erich coming near walking fast with big strides and gets frightened mumbling.
David goes to grab the mic “Give me that mic. And shut your mouth about my family, or I‘ll exterminate you like the rodent you are!”
Bobby mumbles some more, drops the mic and runs off. Von Erich catches it and stares at the camera raging. “Buddy Rogers, I’ve beaten everybody that’s been put inbetween me and you. Time is running out; say your final goodbyes to the world title belt, hold it close and……..kiss……it,,,,,,,,goodbye. Because the next time I walk into Texas, it will be as the world champion. Dad, Kerry, Kevin, Chris, Mom, Mike, I‘m bringing it back home.”

Bobby after David walks away: “I wonder if that is his family, or a list of all the people in Texas who own a television.”

-----------------------------Second U.S. title match.

The winner of this match will face Eddie Gilbert for the honor of being the first U.S. champion at the next PPV.

Takayama comes out. Then a decent pause before Morales makes his way out.

Takayama does a lot of moves to Morales, beating him down. After an unbelievable amount of punishment, Morales makes a comeback. He manages to land the Caribbean Cannonball, and everybody thinks it is over. But Takayama kicks out. Morales seems to be in such disbelief, he doesn’t put enough punishment on Takayama, who blocks a suplex and hits one of his own. Both slow to get up, but as soon as Takayama does it’s a huge boot to the head Morales, then the Everest Suplex, and the fans are shocked as Morales stays down for the pin.

Gorilla says “That has to be considered an upset”; while he is talking, Heenan can’t stop saying yes over and over, like so http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEHMCeJ1zOY

Brain: It’s a real shame Morales lost. He needed the winner’s purse to feed his kids.
Gorilla: Pedro Morales is a very wealthy individual; he’s one of the highest rated wrestlers in the entire world, and a star in multiple countries.
Brain: Yes, but he has 30 kids.

Gorilla stares at him.
Brain: Ok, I’ll admit that wrestling has been berry berry good to Pedro. Until today at least.
Gorilla: Well wrestling fans, Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert will have his work cut out for him in Houston when he has to take on this irresistible force for the US title. Millions of Americans will hope that he can once again overcome the size differential and emerge victorious.

Bump, I'm bored and feel like finally writing the PPV for my company.

Awakening

Jim Ross: Welcome ladies and gentleman to Awakening, I'm Jim Ross joined always by Jesse the Body Ventura, and Jess what a big night tonight is for the Nation.

Jesse Ventura: My question is will there even be a Nation after tonight? The Rock has already started to distance himself from the group as of the last few weeks.

Jim Ross: I guess we'll just have to wait and see how that plays out but for now it's time to crown a United States Champion.

Battle Royal for the United States Championship: The match begins with 15 men and before long we are down to just 4. DDP, Charles Wright, Chris Benoit, and Dean Ambrose each are standing in a corner of the ring. Ambrose and Benoit lock up with each other as Wright charges DDP with a clothesline. DDP ducks under the clothesline and hits Wright with a diamondcutter out of nowhere to a huge pop from the crowd. Page then throws out Wright and we are down to 3. Benoit gets the better of the lock up and proceeds to hit Ambrose with three consecutive German suplexes. After hitting Ambrose with the final suplex Benoit goes to the top rope to hit Ambrose with the flying head-but. Benoit jumps off the top rope but DDP catches him with a thunderous diamondcutter and at this point the crowd is going nuts. Page turns and does the diamondcutter pose when Ambrose sneaks from behind and throws DDP out of the ring. Benoit then tries to sneak from behind and throw out Ambrose but Ambrose is too quick and pulls the top rope down causing Benoit to fall out of the ring and wins the match. After the match is over Ambrose gabs a mic.

Dean Ambrose: A new age has fallen upon TCW. This was just the beginning, a revolution is here. And this revolution won't be delivered with a bang (Ambrose mocks DDP's diamondcutter pose), but rather with controlled chaos. A new duo has been form, just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Jim Ross: That was one hell of a way to start the night, Dean Ambrose the new United States champion.

Jesse Ventura: Yeah but Ross what did he mean by a new duo? Do you have any idea what he's talking about?

Jim Ross: I don't, but I do know that the Nation wasn't able to capture the US title and things could get much worse for the Nation as Mark Henry and D-Lo are set to face the Briscoe Brothers.

A video package is shown detailing the fued between the Nation and the Briscoe's.

TCW Tag-Team Championship Match: The Nation vs. The Briscoe Brothers

The match begins with Jay Briscoe and D-Lo. The ref wins the bell and Jay quick gets D-Lo in a small package for the three count. The crowd is stunned as the match doesn't even last 10 seconds and we already have new champions. The Briscoes celebrate as they run to the back and leave Henry and D-Lo arguing in the ring.

Jesse Ventura: Can this night get any worse for the Nation? The match barely even began and they already lost their titles.

Jim Ross: An awful night indeed for the Nation but they still have one more... Oh what the hell is this now?

Out walks Dennis Stamp angrily to the middle of the ring.

Dennis Stamp: Bischoff do you mind telling me what exactly is going on? This is the biggest show of the year for TCW and I'm not booked. I didn't get to be in the US title battle royal, and I didn't even get to ref a match. I asked you several times if I could ref Sting/Rock but I guess I'm just not important enough for you to give a response to. Well I'm going to sit right here in this ring until you come out and give me an explanation!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMtyB6MUIfM

Out comes a monster of a man. The man enters the ring and absolutely decimates Stamp. He hits him with a flurry of power moves eventually tosses him out of the ring like he's a rag doll. Eric Bischoff the walks out from the top of the stage.

Eric Bischoff: Ladies and gentleman I present to you the number one free agent in all of professional wrestling. He is a NCAA all American, he is the new face of TCW, he is the next big thing, he is Brock Lesnar!

Lesnar exits the ring as Bischoff claps from the top of the stage. He meets Bischoff at the top of the stage poses then the two head to the back together.

Jim Ross: In all my years of covering professional wrestling I have never seen a more intimating human bean than that.

Jesse Ventura: Speaking of things you've never seen before I think another one is up next. Steen and Raven are two men who have absolutely no problem destroying there own bodies to get the job done. And that's what they're going to have to do if they want to be the hardcore champion.

A promo is shown recapping Raven and Steen's fued.

Ladder Match for the TCW Hardcore Championship: Raven vs. Kevin Steen: The match is crazy right from the get-go as Raven brings a shopping cart full of weapons. The two mean are just going all out against each other and before long both men are a bloody mess. After 15 minutes of even brutality Raven hits Steen with a ddt through a table and appears to be about to win the championship. Raven is climbing the ladder and bout to unhook the title when out of nowhere Dean Ambrose runs in and hits Raven in the back with a chair. Raven falls off the ladder and slowly gets back up when Ambrose hits him with a devastating chairshot right to the head. Ambrose then helps Steen climb the ladder and win the championship.

Jim Ross: Damn it, this was the duo Ambrose was talking about earlier.

Jesse Ventura: A young duo who don't give a damn about anyone else and will do whatever it takes to get to the top. I like it.

Jim Ross: I'm sure you do. Well the time is now. The moment we've all been waiting for, The Rock vs. Sting.

TCW Heavyweight Championship Match: The Rock vs. Sting Both men come out to huge pops. The match begins with The Rock in control. The Rock hits Sting with a series of punches the final one knocking Sting out of the ring. The Rock jumps out of the ring and heads to the announce table. The Rock steals Jesse's headset.

Jim Ross: What the hell are you doing Rock? This is a championship match.

The Rock: JR you know your damn roll and shut your damn mouth! The Rock will tell you exactly what the Rock is doing. See JR the Rock is laying the smackdown on this Crow wannabe candy ass. Jim Ross the Rock will tell you what the Rock is going to do. What the Rock is going to do is take this piece of trailer park trash right down know your roll boulevard. Right pass jabroni drive, to a place the Rock loves to dwell, and check him into the Smackdown hotel!

Sting hits the Rock from behind in the back of the head. Both men then make there way back to the ring. Sting throws the Rock into the corner and goes for the Stinger splash but the Rock jumps out of the way. Sting hits the turnbuckel hard. Sting then turns around in a daze and the Rock hits him with a ddt. Sting falls in the middle of the ring and the Rock sets him up for the people's elbow. The Rock hits the people's elbow and goes for the pin but Sting kicks out right as the ref is about to count 3. The Rock looks stunned. He picks Sting back up and goes for the Rock bottom but Sting counters and hits him with the Scorpion Death Drop. Sting pins the Rock but Rock just barely kicks out after two. Sting then throws the Rock into the corner and hits him with the Stinger splash. Sting then locks the Rock in the Scorpion Death Lock when...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEPPcPeyv-c

The lights go out and a gong is struck. Out walk Paul Bearer, Gangril, Vampiro and Abyss. They head to the ring and attack the ref as both the Rock is on the mat and Sting locks on in amazement. Paul Bearer grabs a microphone.

Paul Bearer: Tonight is finally the night. We told you he was coming and tonight he is finally here. Tonight is your reckoning Sting. The Undertaker has arrived.

A bolt of lightning strikes the top of the ramp as the music continues to play. A man appears out of the darkness resembling Lucifer. The Undertaker enters the ring a stares down Sting. The Undertaker towers over Sting. Sting goes to hit the Undertaker but he blocks it. The Undertaker then grabs Sting and hits him with a tombstone piledriver. Undertaker exits the ring as Paul Bearer throws the ref back into the ring. The Rock crawls over and lays his arm across the chest of Sting. The ref slowly counts to three and the Rock is the new champion. The ppv ends with the Undertaker and his men as the top of the ramp. The camera man zooms in on the face of the Undertaker and the last image you see is this:
