I was just about to post the same thing. We let them in and open it up until the second to last pick of the first round for one more.

Do you still want the last spot?

Should be rand between the 3 for spots 8-10 or put them in the order they posted ITT?

Yes I do want to the last spot

Put them in the order they posted. Not a huge difference between any of those draft spots as it stands.

Spoiler:

Macho Man Randy Savage

Savage was already over 5 years into his illustrious career by 1980, and although he didn't sign with WWF until 85, I'm very confident that I can get him over as a huge star in the 5 years preceding that. He was obviously ready as they hot shotted the IC title onto him and he had taken Hogan's world title away within 3 years (albeit not directly) while getting amongst the best crowd reactions at the time both as a face and heel. He was in WCW until mid-2000 which gives me 20 years of him as a top star.

As well as being one of the all time greats both in the ring and in promos, Savage had a star quality that I would argue was never fully realised. I'm fully convinced that Savage could easily carry a company as it's top star and he has the added bonus of also being able to convincingly play the top heel. I think he has crossover appeal too; many people who don't watch wrestling are aware of the Macho Man and I believe he could be even more successful in this regard given better opportunities. He's also the favourite wrestler of pretty much everyone I know who watched wrestling during the "golden era".

I'm pretty sure this is the earliest Savage has ever gone, and I had even started a write up for someone else who maybe had a better career all in all, but I think given the same opportunities Savage could have been the bigger star of the two (and might be anyway), and hell I just wanted him more, and I'm picking guys that I want.

I wouldn't have taken savage there but I don't think it's a facemelter either. He usually goes a few picks too late imo

In any event this is like the first time ever savage isn't on moorobots roster

There's one guy left who I feel is in that top tier with Hogan, Austin, Flair, and Rock. Savage is in the tier just below it imo. Still a good pick who will be fun to build around.

Are we building a federation for 2015-2050, or 1980-2015?

I think the former because in theory it is up to us as to how we want the careers of our guys to overlap.

So for example, the rock's 10 years as a superstar will be whenever you want them to be as opposed to late 90s early 2000s, which may not overlap with whoever you may take next round.

I've been planning to build my company around a flair vs JTG feud so please let me know ASAP if this will be impossible!

Why I am asking is: now that we have moved away from the "as over as they really were" rule, some guys conceivably might be better in a certain time than another.

Sorry guys just woke up. Let them in but I think we should go to the 1975 compromise than. Don't think it's too late for that

I won't draft anyone before 1990, so no need to change that on my part

Savage is easily in that tier imo. He was elite at everything he did and was a huge name at his peak.

I don't know if we need to be this specific but either is fine with me. Savage would GOAT it up in any era.

I still can't believe the time I got Savage at pick 15 or 25. He wasn't my favorite wrestler of the golden era (probably top 5 but not top 3), but I still somehow always ended up with him in other drafts.

I love Savage and think he's easily one of the GOAT at just about everything used to measure a wrestler. The only reason I don't include him in that tier is because (and correct me if I'm wrong) he was never really "the guy" by himself. That is in no way Savage's fault because clearly he was good enough to be the number one guy, but we don't have the ability to say how much money he would have drawn being the number one guy by himself for a major company. We don't know if he would have drawn as much money as Hogan, Austin, or Rock, or been able to carry a company like Flair. I still think he's great but because of that I have him just a notch below those four and one other guy.

Rock wasn't really ever the guy by himself either.

Austin was out almost all of 2000, and Rock was the guy pretty much by himself. That ended up being one of WWE's most profitable years.

I saw more people wearing wrestling shirts from 1996-2001 than I have in the rest of my life combined, and it isn't even close.

Going to ruin the plans I had now because I thought this guy would go #5 and now that he isn't, it's ******ed to pass him up.

Spoiler:

Spoiler:
He'll draw some money. Whether from butthurt smarks wanting to see undrafted rape him or from teen girls, kids, or the few adults that can stand him. Sure he'll be on top for a decade but when my US title loses all its prestige, he's there to pick up the pieces. He's also there when a champion (that won't be getting back to me) gets hurt and somebody needs to fill that superman face of the company role. He's also there for the biggest ppv drawing WM of all time and second biggest live drawing ever.
