I wouldn't think it's OK to say "and Pat Patterson books everything so my federation is awesome!" but I think you can give a few points for locker room chemistry and such

that said I would not have considered picking him at any point because of the cutoff

Well this one (Sgt vs Pat) made sense, at least. Decent match. I love me a good brawl. Might move on to Sgt vs Iron Sheik in a bootcamp match which I've seen tons of people throw 5* at. Started it once and gave up because of awful quality.
