He's got some level of notoriety particularly in the South even outside of wrestling circles. I think that HBK is really only known by wrestling fans.
HBK does have that hunting show that's pretty big. I think he could be a fairly big draw in Texas and other southern states.

I think there's two undrafteds that I would put ahead of him. Not far, but clearly enough for me that I'm pretty sure I'd go to one of them first. But again it's close enough that I think it falls within personal preference range to take him at 6 and not have it be too much of a mistake.

Any chance I can jump in at the end of round 1? Just saw the thread

Go on then. darO can stay at the end if he wants to keep the double picks though.

HHH is a decent pick, I had him down the list a bit at #12 on my own board but you can make an argument for him here.

Hey totally unrelated question: does iso have a daughter who works in his company too?

Adding a person ****s with the spreadsheet, I'll do this one fix but hopefully we can cut it off there.

A part of me thought there was enough HHH hate that he might be able to get back to me.

Probably worth asking: are non-wrestlers such as managers and valets draftable as well?

They usually are, so I'm guessing he'll tell you yes.

Is the cap of 50 maximum wrestlers rigid? We went 100 last time and many didn't get that far before wrapping up their drafts, but I enjoyed drafting a full 100 myself.

I say 100 and you can stop earlier if you run out of guys

Pick #8:

Spoiler:

Daniel Bryan

I'm taking the best wrestler in the world. Named best technical wrestler by Wrestling Observer nine years in a row as well as most outstanding wrestler for five of those years, Bryan can guarantee me a top quality match against pretty much anybody. However unlike some other great technical wrestlers available, Daniel Bryan is unbelievably over with the fans, to the point that they constantly chant his name even when he isn't involved in what's currently going on in the ring. Everything he touches seems to turn to gold, turning simple "yes" and "no" chants into worldwide phenomenons, and even making a weekly anger management segment with Kane must watch TV.

Before coming to WWE he had a decade in the indies filled with great technical matches and I definitely intend to use these years. I'll start him off on the undercard but if the fans demand that he be in the main event they will get it (although I do realise that keeping him back is possibly helping him get so over, so I will keep this in mind when booking him.) At the age of 32 I think it is reasonable to believe that I will also get at least another ten solid years from Bryan from this point forward. I'll probably end up using his real name since there's not really any reason not to.

Fwiw I don't expect this pick to be particularly well received, but do I care?

My dreams of a HBK/Bryan match are crushed.

Not bad. I knew Bryan was never getting back to me. Obviously still-active wrestlers are difficult to rate. I had him 14th on my board but I can't hate on this pick.

Of course. You can draft anyone who has ever appeared on a wrestling show. However if they only appeared once, you can only use them once etc.

We can go higher if people want. Personally I'd like to go higher but I put "at least 50" in the signup thread and a few people wanted to go even lower than that so I capped at 50. It's open to change though.

Yeah I know it, but I just assume that people who want to be done at 50 won't care if others keep going. On the off chance that I actually follow through on laying out a full long-term booking vision, 50 workers is pretty constricting for multiple decades.
