To you lkj
It does clearly say swap to be fair.

Sheesh, that would move me DOWN in the sixth? So the only benefit for me at all is a higher second-round pick? Like...there's no way I come out even remotely ahead in that trade. I lose at every turn. I can't say I would have agreed to that if I had understood what you were actually offering.

I was pretty sure I had the higher pick in even rounds (didnt look at ss). Since I was mistaken, then I would've said swap 1,2,5. Obv it wouldn't have made any sense for you to move down in 2/3 rounds including the highest round.

A person still can swap three picks for one. The word "swap" doesn't mean straight across in several rounds.

I guess if he's offering a nullification of the trade I'll take it.

Not with ABBA and then snake. He set it to go in reverse in both the 2nd and 3rd and then alternate from there.

Clearly no meeting of the minds imo

Yeah there's pretty much now way LKJ accepts that.

mkind has kindly offered to cancel the trade, so that seems like the best solution.

Alright thanks mkind; sorry for the confusion. I'll take The Rock and I'm also willing to trade him to you, but even swapping in the 1st/2nd/5th probably doesn't do it for me.

I just assumed it was straight snake, hence why I said 6 instead of 5. Again, very used to fantasy football drafts only where picks balance and order is snake, ergo all the confusion.

I was kinda pissed about LKJ getting 2 second round picks lol, but figured if they want to trade let them trade.

Boothisman.gif for lack of writeup but Cena was definitely the only other consideration I was having before settling on The Rock (before the trade thing came up).

I had decided I wasn't gonna take Cena at 8 if he dropped. I picked him last time and I pretty much hated my federation solely because he was at the top. Probably the correct pick objectively though.

I agree with this btw. Was just pointing out his point of view. It can easily be taken both ways.

This was the thing that made it super easy for me to settle on Rocky. Cena will put in more years, and no end in sight right now, but I don't much care for this crap where half the crowd will turn on him halfway through his run. Still, you have a sure thing as your franchise player.

Yeah, obviously an honest mistake from both sides.

Spoiler:

The Show-Stopper, the Main Event, Mr. Wrestlemania, the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels. Countless amazing matches, can work with just about anyone and also can be the number 1 face or heel in the company. One of the easiest guys to build a company around as long as he doesn't lose his smile. His first run is hall of fame worthy, and personally I like his second run even better.

Shawn Michaels here is fine; we've clearly dropped a big tier in drawing power from Cena to HBK, and it's tougher to build a company around HBK, but this being a fantasy draft and all...it's definitely more fun to fantasy book a Michaels company outside of having to occasionally write around his political bull**** in the first part of his career.

I agree. I was willing to trade up for Rock because he was a clear tier 1 guy and there's a huge drop to tier 2/3, but it probably will be more fun to draft starting with a non tier-1 guy. Then again, the term "tier" really has no set meaning in this format since parameters were kept extremely broad.

Tier 1 I think was clearly Austin/Hogan/Rock/Cena. Tier 2 is Flair/HBK and maybe 2 other undrafted guys. Tier 3 is where I think it starts getting open to interpretation and the fun of this draft really begins. There are guys I might take in tier 3 who you might have in like tier 15 and vice versa, and I wouldn't argue with any of them. I don't think you can say that about the 1st 6 guys who went.

Btw while I think booking your team's fantasy Wrestlemania after the draft will be fun, the best part will be booking your team's Survivor Series instead. In fact, booking your team's Survivor Series 1990 (with the winners survivors match at the end) will be the GOAT facet of this.

Since I never keep with individual show writeups for long, this time I'll do something like six-month or twelve-month summaries. I might actually complete a whole long booking period if I do it that way.

By the way, while not at the level of draw that Hogan/Austin/Rock were, I'd probably put Flair closer to Cena than HBK in terms of draw. Cena has done some crossover but never really succeeded...still had enough exposure to be known a bit outside of wrestling. I think Flair is much the same way. He's got some level of notoriety particularly in the South even outside of wrestling circles. I think that HBK is really only known by wrestling fans.
