It sucks how clunky the network is with its search function. Although maybe that's cause I'm using an old Apple TV.

I definitely find the WWE Network app for Apple TV to be less user-friendly than the app for the PS4.

Home from work again for tonite tv.

First, I want to comment how refreshing it is to watch the older stuff where they don't do a camera cut every time anyone is about to hit the mat (or each other).

Gonna start off tonite with some suggestions from the other thread. I had stopped watching when Rock v Hogan was a thing, so gonna fire that up.

Clicking around on this WM18 show. Scott Hall vs SCSA is on this. I've heard about what a POS this match is. But JR is telling me it could be legendary.

Better watch.

Also, sidenote-- Jerry Lawler is one of the most annoying people around.

SCSA match had a lot of shenanigans, but it was dumb fun.

It sure could have been a huge deal if it happened a few years earlier, but as is, it was what it was.

Felt like a band's reunion tour or something.

I'll check out bOrck / Kurt at some point. I've never seen that either.

I can't remember if I typed this earlier or not, but my pro wrestling background is that I watched from like right after WM4, when I was 7 years old, through whatever WM was in 1999. Then I went to college and didn't have time or cable, lost interest until 2013 (?) or so.

But back to the show at hand--

This era was ARRRRR EEENNNNN on metal. The Oldertaker had limp bizkit, Edge had a rob zombie thing, and there's this live band doing a metal Dudley Boys "get the table" song that totally is forgettable in every way.

My guess would be that all this stuff was about 3 years past being cool at this point, but I base that on WWE's track record on this kind of thing.

Hogan out. Looks ridiculous. Like he hasn't changed a thing since 1998.

The Fink tells us he weighs in at 281 pounds. Old man lost some weight! He's supposed to be 303!

My wrestling journey's much similar. I started watching in 87 when I was 6. First memory is WM III. Watched religiously until I moved in with my eventual wife in spring of 2001. I watched here and there until 2011 when I suddenly had more time on my hands because of Black Friday and became a fan again.

Black Friday was way worse than I realized at the time. It's been 7 years in a week. Crazy.

Okay, Hogan / Rock was awesome. The fans really made it elite. It was not a fantastic match by some standards (actual wrestling), but was fantastic by the only standard that really matters-- fan reaction and enjoyment.

However, the NWO run in at the conclusion was lol bad.

BUT- Rocky doing the "hogan must pose" was awesome.

Crazy that the Rock, Hogan, Austin, Ric Flair, Edge, Scott Hall, Nash, and the Undertaker have all appeared, and none are champion.

Also: Lita's music is more nu-metal trash.

Crazy but true story. Black Friday was the day I got married. I remember checking my phone after we got hitched and saw all hell had broken loose. It was definitely a goofy day to say the least

So as a casual watcher who really only tunes in for big events

1. Is WWE really still trying to make Roman Reigns happen

2. I know the answer is yes. But really?

3. Really?

4. As much as it pissed me off the Roman Reigns "ended" Undertakers career, the ending to last year was fitting. Undertaker needed to retire, they aren't really bringing him back? (of course they are)

5. So Braun is going to be relegated to a tag team match? lol?

6. Having said all that, I plan to watch. All in for Styles vs Nakamura.

It appears that I didn't mention the match that I consider the best WM match to happen after WM XXV:

HHH vs. Bryan at 30. This has the bonus of having an amazing prematch video package as well. Easily top 5, ever.

Left work on time for a change so tonites post-a-thon starts early.

Gotta watch this week's NXT to start things off. Let's shuffle up and deal!
