I'm going to promptly get to work at forgetting that just happened.

Lots of good stuff tonight, unfortunate that it ends on that ****. Hopefully tomorrow night reaches the same level of quality.

I feel like that would have been a lot better if they skipped the talk show part and it had just been announced as a match in the first place.

Though my dark comedic senses would be tickled if the announcers went into full somber voice for this ending and mumbled things like, "Well fans, no two ways about it...Father Time is undefeated..."

Lol, definitely not worth it. But whatever, I hope most people enjoyed it.

Fun seeing Cody. Bianca vs Becky was definitely the highlight.

Well, that and just shorten the **** out of the match. Announce it as a match up front, then recreate Ultimate Warrior vs. HHH from WM XII. If you do that, it works just fine.

Sorry team, after the shitty mudhole stomps (which never looked great, lets be honest) I marked out lol

Needed more people having beers with Steve though

So now that Austin threw away the undisputed #1 spot for best retirement match of star from the Attitude Era, it's gotta be Undertaker/AJ Styles in the Boneyard Match, right?

It wouldn't have been special had they done that. Austin has come out a million times since 2003 to arrive, stunner, and leave. Having a match was a good call. The match was at least reasonable but it was certainly a fun segment.

Belair v Lynch one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. Could get me back into this again. Wish they would do an all female show - the men are pretty unwatchable

If the suggestion is that last night's match was special in any positive sense, we just saw very different things.

I mean, seeing what Austin was not capable of, I'd far sooner they have not had anything at all, but if they had to have it then structure it so that they can get away from it as soon as humanly possible.

Yah, I pretty much agree. I mostly just fast forward most of the men's stuff, except I gave Cody a watch, but that's a unique situation. Bianca-Becky and Charlotte-Rousey were by far the 2 matches I was most looking forward to and I quite liked them, even though the 2nd match got quite messy towards the end.

I think Ronda has a ton of potential. She seems to have added onto her moveset and a couple of the moves looked pretty good. I also like that she leans into her MMA background instead of just transforming herself into a pure wrestler. For example, when Ronda's on her back, she's throwing up triangles, armbars, etc. which is what a mixed martial artist would do in a real situation.

If nothing else, I'm usually most intrigued by the women's matches these days because women's wrestling is the only part of current wrestling that is at its high point in comparison to yesteryear. I don't go so far as to exclude the men's wrestling from what I'll watch, there's a scattered number among the men who are really compelling, but the overall hit rate is a lot lower, and as a general rule, men's wrestling is clearly not anywhere close to what its industry high point was.

Yeah, these current ladies are much better wrestlers, and much better looking to boot.

Kind of funny how 20-25 years ago they wanted to throw a bunch of MILFs at us.

Caught up on night one and it really did feel like a B tier PPV with some celebrity involvement. I wonder how long it'll be until Cody is wearing face paint again? Women's matches were both enjoyable, but didn't feel like anything more than I would expect of them having a standard PPV match.

All good! To be honest, Wrestlemania should only be 4 hours total and not 2 nights!

I like that they made it 2 nights with a selling point being it would be less of a burden on the viewer. Each night feels as long as the 1 mega night to me.

Off topic, I hated that rendition of America the beautiful

Is there a reason for Mark Wahlberg to be introducing WM?

Trying to one-up Donnie Wahlberg's ring announcer performance from 28 years ago.
