I'm really not knowledgeable enough to make a worthwhile OP, but I thought the thread should exist so people who are interested could start chattering about it. Also so people who are unaware that it's two nights could be aware and maybe tune in tonight.

I don't even know the card. If someone wants to take a crack at a comprehensive preview, I'll be happy to put it in this OP.

EDIT: At first I thought I erred with the 8 p.m. thing since I saw the network schedule say 7 p.m., but it appears that 7 p.m. is the pre-show time. So if you properly hate yourselves, feel free to tune in at 7 p.m.

Anyway, I'm gonna tune in. I've drifted further and further from the product, but I have to think there's a fair chance that they can give us a good WrestleMania, whatever the hell is on the card.

Despite the fact that the build has been terrible, I'm kind of interested in about half the matches.

WWE Championship: Lashley vs. McIntyre doesn't interest me very much. Lashley was jobbing to Strowman very recently, so he's clearly not someone Vince things he can push as a big star. They have done the minimum needed to make him look like a credible champion, which is clearly so that it seems like a big deal when McIntyre beats him to become a 3-time champion.

Universal Championship: Reigns vs. Edge vs. Bryan mildly interests me. I hate triple threat matches, and would be far more invested if you picked any two of the three participants and booked a singles match.

Blue Women's Title: Banks vs. Belair has me wondering what BB has accomplished to deserve to main event night one? She's OK, but she doesn't have huge star power and I can't remember any match she's ever had that I thought was memorable in any way. Maybe Banks can make her a star. We'll see.

Red Women's Title: Asuka vs. Ripley is my most anticipated match. Ripley is a huge star in the making, but if she loses her first two WM matches, it will be clear that Vince just doesn't agree. I'm pretty sure she'll win, but there's just enough doubt that I'm sure every near fall will suck me in.

Randy vs. Fiend is a match that is going to take place.

IC Title: Big E vs. Apollo Crews should give Big E a big push that will get him into a Universal or WWE Title feud at some point in 2021. I like both guys as workers so the match should be good but is too much of a foregone conclusion to really be interesting

Seth Rollins is fighting Cesaro and KO is fighting Sami, and those are four guys who never have bad matches but all I will be thinking the whole time is how much better each one of them would be in AEW. Since the Forbidden Door is open, how about a trade? These four for MJF, Wardlow, Matt Hardy and Luchasaurus.

I omitted a few matches, I'm sure, but one of them was on purpose.

I've yet to watch anything on the new Peacock-WWEN to confirm, but the early reports are awful.

Apparently you can't 'start from beginning', you can't pause, and you can't rewind, all functions that were previously available on the Network. Brutal.

We're basically watching an old school PPV.

I think the thing I'm most interested in with Mania is just how it goes with a live crowd for the first time in so long. I'm kind of surprised WWE didn't elect to do a test run by having a Raw or SD with fans before hand.

Mania is just so important, and it's kind of a curveball not necessarily knowing how crowd is going to react to certain wrestlers. Like, ****. What if the fans just randomly boo the **** out of Big E and start cheering for the Nigerian Warlord.

Oh man, apparently fans at Mania are taking shelter because of a severe thunderstorm en route. That's an interesting wrinkle for the evening.

Alright, I tuned in to the pre-show for long enough to see that they're taking a "nothing to see here" stance about the weather. Guess we'll see how things look at the top of the hour.

Expecting these shows to be pretty great despite lukewarm (generous) build. On paper most of it looks good and with fans there for the first time in forever I think everyone will be motivated to knock it out of the park.

The voiceover guy jumped in to nitpick and then referred to this as a cold open when it isn't.

I assume it's a wrestler safety thing. Giant metal structures are pretty good at conducting lightning, and you dont want to be in the middle of those if it does
