Considering that I thought Charlotte was put in this to take the pinfall from Becky I'm okay with this bizarre pin Becky got on Ronda since I didn't expect it.

They surprised us at least a little tonight so I'll give them props for that even though many of the matches were meh at best.

Why would you trust Rousey to pull that off correctly?

I am aok with the idea of the finish. Ronda just has to execute it better.

That ending is very representative of what WWE thinks of Becky. Really sucks. Someone said it earlier itt but Charlotte and Ronda are better wrestlers than Becky. I don’t think that’s an insult to Becky they’re just unbelievable. With that being said she’s by far the most over and, given the way the story was told, her over Ronda was the best and most logical outcome, but they don’t think highly enough of Becky to fully commit to her going over Ronda. They had to give themselves an out. And it was a **** one. Even if this ends with Becky>Ronda clean at MITB, it’s the ****ing Wrestlemania main event, they shoulda let Becky have her moment, there wasn’t even much of a pop bc the fans were confused.

Kofi/Daniel was by far the match of the night. Bryan is a ****ing legend, his heel run has won me over. Shane/Miz was good. Everything else ranged from meh to average.

Whoever said Roman shoulda squashed Corbin and McIntyre shoulda retired Angle was 100% right. Corbin retiring Angle is a slap in the face.

Im really glad they just went with the best endings to stories tonight. Just going with keeping people happy and wrapping up the chase for Rollins/Becky/Kofi resulted in an enjoyable night and let me overlook a few things that werent great.

After Kofi/Bryan there were just so many matches and segments that people didn't care too much about. Individually they were fine (or not as bad as they could have been,) but one after another, several hours in and the crowd were done.

I highly disagree that Drew and Corbin should have swapped places. As much as I hate Drew getting beat by Roman Corbin retiring angle is actually really good. Corbin needs to be booked a bit stronger but adding these bows to his cap help him.

Overall good. How much of a breakdown do you want? There is definitely a good hour or two I'd suggest cutting.

The main event finish made me think there is still plans for Becky vs. Ronda one on one down the line and they didn't want to do the decisive finish here, but also didn't want the cop out of Becky beating Charlotte. I would have liked Ronda just tapping out though. The match was definitely hurt by the crowd, but still a much better main than the previous ones involving Roman (except possibly the one with the Seth cash in).

I thought this was a really good Mania. It was paced and booked really well and I liked the mix of long and short matches. Obviously the show is just absurdly long which hurts some of the stuff later on the show.

It's being reported by fightful that the main event ending was botched. The ref counted 3 when he wasn't supposed to - with Ronda's shoulders up - and the result was supposed to be Becky tapping out Charlotte. The source for this apparently was early on the scene with Ali's and Becky's injuries over the last few months and so has a reliable background.

Uncertain if this is true, but if it is that's a damn shame to have it get botched like that.

That sucks if true, but it might be better than the alternate scenario of WWE thinking that was the best way to end Mania.

I think it can be salvaged pretty easily, hopefully leading up to the Becky vs. Ronda singles match we all wanted, and that can hopefully be a better moment than that match at the end of an 8 hour show with a tired crowd and Michael Cole's voice dying.

Yeah, I'm not sure that I buy it the more I think on it but thought it was interesting since it was being reported by what I thiiiink is a reputable source?

As for Dave: I'm glad he came back for one last match. He came back to fight another part timer, with history, gave it a hell of an effort, and took some nasty bumps. He has seemed like one of the good guys for a while (I've read nothing but positive things about him in autobiographies like Jerichos), chased a different dream, became more successful than anyone could have imagined, and came back a couple times to go out on his back. He deserved to go out with bigger fanfare than just saying he quits on Raw out of nowhere.

Ive also been thoroughly enjoying watching reactions to Kofi winning. There are so many videos of people in the business being genuinely happy for him - some to the point of tears -and it's a great thing to see.

Ronda didn't want to get pinned by Becky. Her reaction and lingering in the ring for s second goes hand and hand with a botch.
