Mines gotta be the clothesline. I love a well delivered clothesline.

I have fond memories of taking and receiving vicious clotheslines as a kid

Here is a gif of some clotheslines from probably the GOAT clothesliner

My favorite move was probably the powerbomb. Sid and Nash did it great as a tall wrestler but I loved Vader's. He was kinda short to be doing the move but the velocity at which he did it made the move all the better.

The powerbomb seems to mostly be retired though so now my favorite is Tanahashi's frog splash (High Fly Flow)

If we count a lariat as a clothesline then Stan Hansen gets that accolade.

I can’t believe more people didn’t get legit KTFO’d by the Hansen lariat.

If we’re talking moves by one specific guy, then for me it was Savage’s top rope elbow. I don’t think anyone ever delivered a move as well as Savage did that elbow. The pose, the height, the gracefulness, everything.

A lariat and clotheline are slightly different.

From what I know, your arm stays straight during a clothesline while if you throw the arm completely its a lariat. Hanson`s was brutal.

Was a bit sarcastic saying Warrior was the GOAT though, its just that he did so damn many of them

Here is a link to a list of some of the stiffest clotheslines

I really loved this move too but I only ever saw it delivered this once, a sort of slide neck piledriver. It seemed dangerous...

Man, except for that one time he put Eric Bischoff through a table at GAB '89, I don't know that I could ever call a Nash powerbomb great.

This thread brought the powerbomb to mind for me too, but I'll even go a lot shorter than Vader for a great powerbomb: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POdbPwQnadg#t=08m40s

Lol are those done on purpose? They look like powerbombs gone wrong for me.

Crazy Ive not seen it done apart from that Rude Warrior match, the move developed some sort of mythical status with me

Gotta say I enjoy the thought of a complete botch being papered over by someone just saying, “uhh, well...let’s just call it a...’ganso bomb.’”

The one I just posted was. It was part of the long term story telling. It became a staple of Misawa/Kawada matches afterward.

Lol I love it but it looks like it needs a ****load of opponent cooperation

Man I am so clueless with Japanese wrestling, Im thinking I better go back and watch some

Im a huge promo mark though so not being able understand the build up might annoy me and has been a factor in me not getting in to it sooner

Some context for that Misawa/Kawada I posted. Misawa's finisher was a Tiger Driver. In 1991 he accidentally dropped some guy on his neck like in the gif I posted and that version got to be known as "Tiger Driver 91".

Misawa and Kawada had faced off a few times in singles matches from 92-94 (when this Tiger Driver 91 happened) and dozens of times in tags/6mans. Kawada had never pinned Misawa. In this particular match Misawa just couldn't put Kawada away so he pulled out this move that he hadn't used in 3 years to beat him.

side note: imagine how buried everyone would think a Kawada is nowadays if he lost every match vs. his rival for 3 years and his first pin on him wasn't even in a singles match. It took Kawada 5 years to get his first pin on Misawa in a singles match and even then it wasn't "clean". It used to be better, even in Japan.

Sunset Flip Powerbomb.

Every time I see one, it looks like the laws of Physics are being violated.

Hated this move since the first time I saw Petey Williams do it for that exact reason. Adam Cole decided to take the absurdity to the next level by having to have his opponent bent over while he gets to the second rope and then jump perfectly (without breaking someone's neck) and jump in unison for what's a ****ting looking finished product anyhow. I hate him so much for this. I hope he goes to 205 Live for maximum lolz at his fans.

Along with the Figure Four, my favorite move to apply on my little brother was always....

I think my favorite move right now might be the Shatter Machine for some reason. I liked Thunder Valley a lot, but the team isn't together anymore. MNM's Snapshot was great also. Maybe I just like tag team moves a lot.

For singles moves, I've always liked the Cross Rhodes/Roll of the Dice/Rolling Cutter. I like Travis Banks' Kiwi Crusher too. And a good Dragon Screw Leg Whip is always fun. Ember Moon's Eclipse is also great, but that looks really bad for your back.

Oh, speaking of tag team moves, Total Elimination was an all-timer.

Was also a big mark for the Hart Attack.

Total Elimination was also helped by Joey Styles call of the move.

Was never that big a fan of the Hart Attack. I liked the Hart Foundation fine, but that move just never clicked for me.

I wanted to post this when I read that but then I wondered if LKJ ever heard that call. LKJ?

The Eliminators where in the first ECW match I ever saw so Total Elimination has a soft spot in my heart though I do wonder how much that has to do with Joey's call.

LOD had by far the best tag team finishing move.

Power & Glory were a close second, except nothing else about that team was memorable in any way.

Sure, I watched some ECW when it happened and loved the Eliminators. Had high hopes for Saturn when he turned up in WCW, but never really liked him at all there.
