That feels like a pretty slim margin for a debut of a new promotion which had a ton of cross marketing going on vs the not debut of the third brand. I figured it'd be much higher. Hopefully the quarterly breakdown shows that it was a consistent or increasing number instead of people turning in out of intrigue and turning after 30-60 min

mjf/cody is a new era twist of the sting/luger face/heel bit in the 90s. It's different and refreshing so I'm totally cool with it.

Yes, Punk brings his name. I think the more entertaining guy could be Swagger. I think he could get over with the right people around him. Him floundering on SD! with a second tier title (albeit a world title) nobody cared about isn't him being pushed to the moon. I'm not arguing that Swagger's a bigger draw or will be a bigger draw than Punk.

yes, his debut was too standard heel work but he has the ability to be annoying as all hell. He clearly has a role on this show with clear top of the card potential in the future. I can't say the same for jack swagger or even dean ambrose will end up anything other than a waste. They do nothing for me at least anyway.

I kinda popped more for Ciampa than Hager. Although, I thought it would have been cooler with the way Cole was standing on the ramp facing the rest of Undisputed in the ring, if without music, Ciampa would have just come up behind him.

On the same note, I also liked how AEW didn't ruin the run ins with entrance music. There are times where it enhances what they're trying to do, but I liked how you heard the roar of the crowd without knowing who was coming in.

Looks like NXT is set for an over-run tonight. The guide allows for 10 extra minutes. Guess their relationship with USA lets them do that to attempt to gain the competitive advantage here.

That's pretty interesting and funny as last week's show was set for a 15 minute overrun and immediately after the ratings came out, Meltzer said this one was set for no overrun so USA/WWE already throwing everything at AEW. Next will be that 3 minute jump at the start

That was a really great match. That SSP by Quinn was great as was all his jumps outside at the beginning. A+ match. Loved seeing Private Party pull the upset over TYB's.

TYB's are so ****ing good. The selling by PP, esp dude dropped outside was

Match was strong on its in-ring merits, but another thing I'll say is that Jim Ross sounds like he still has his fastball. He narrated the story of that match so well.
