Looks like it's just AEW Dark moving to TNT, so nothing is really changing on AEW's end which is good. I was worried it was going to be them trying another show with the same people which would be a huge mistake.

NXT is absolutely on fire tonight.

The good of last night:
Lee was great
Riddle had me dying in his response to the promo

The bad of last night:
I saw jericho and ambrose fight for 26 minutes in one of the worst matches ive ever seen back when jericho was only 46 instead of 50. There is probably not a matchup aew could do that id care less about than those two. Shame, cause PAC is great and could have made it work.

The bad of last night was some crappy WWE match from 4 years ago. Sounds about right.

That is the fault of WWE, should have put on a better match 4 years ago.

Britt's promo was solid, went after JR for not knowing everyone's names and ended with

It was a foregone conclusion considering the winner gets a shot at the NXT titles on a takeover against a heel team, but both teams definitely were helped by that match

NXT was really good and I really enjoyed the women's matches. Dakota (I think thats who its was) is really good at selling face shots, I cringed a couple of times. Loved Ciampa and the table spot, watched it like 6 times it was so clean and brutal (only thing I didnt like was Adam Cole snatching the contract out out of Regals hand, kinda buried him) Loved it otherwise. Keith Lee is a natural and loved both of the contenders and their ensuing match

They've done heel/heel before though.

IIRC Sasha/Becky was heel/heel at the time.

Shayna fought both Io and Bianca.

They just had an event where Undisputed Era fought Imperium.

Most of it was good, but friendly note to WWE: A reverse-rana of the top rope with the guy landing on his head should not be followed up 20 seconds later by said guy hitting his finisher.

I'm finding it a chore to watch AEW.

They open with Moxley thinking he's gonna take on 10 thugs like he's Sean Michaels and then somehow sneaks away unscathed, not even bothering to pick up the pipe the first guy who attacked him (who attacked alone for some reason) had dropped.

While I always thought Arn Anderson was being severely underutilized as one of the great talkers of all time, his "coaching" of Cody has been a massive failure so far. Color coded scouting reports? Are we going to hear trash cans banging next? Put him with someone who needs to get over, but has trouble talking.

I don't care about Butchers, Britt Bakers or Candlestick makers...(although, Britt's promos the last two weeks have been some of the more entertaining things on the show) or Private Parties or Best Friends or Dark Orders. Even Kenny Omega has really underwhelmed from this guy who I've never really seen before, but been consistently told how great he is.

I realize they're nearly 50 years old, but Jericho and Chris Daniels seem to get fatter by the week. I get that he's being protected by this gang, but it's really hard to fathom that nobody can beat Jericho in this condition.

And why do they have Hager still just standing around? Is he legally unable to participate in a match for some reason or are they just waiting until he turns on Jericho for his first match?

Moxley is really the only thing I pay attention to each week.

heard something somewhere Jericho is that way a bit because that's what NJPW wanted. Doubt AEW would've though so makes little sense.

Hager is still doing MMA, he's not getting himself injured wrestling to ruin that.

Yes, Omega went from trying to be the best wrestler to bleh and apparently he's in charge of the women's division and oh god at that.

It's rare where women should be wrestling the men (chyna definitely could kick your ass so that was fine to me; and I guess with tessa being the best in the entire company on impact it's not all that bad to push her to the moon). but this should be very rare instead of hey let's do it all the time.

They and too many of their friends are clearly just here collecting the big check from the billionaire.

They easily could've had by far the best tag team wrestling and they inexplicably don't.

the other problem is the audience itself--that orange cassidy dude is over but it's dumb as all hell.

AEW makes a lot of sense when you realize it's just a nostalgia thing for some billionaire's kid to relive his childhood. Pretty much everything is late 90s WCW. You have a big heel stable with an over the hill/out of shape figurehead champion getting by on name recognition with segments that drag on forever. There's a lot of over booked nonsense while literally jim ross and tony schiavone call the action. You have a bunch of people phoning it in collecting big checks. Hell, even the production of the show looks like it could be from 2000 nitro.

It's sad how much of the above post I actually nodded to.

Very disappointing to me. And Omega just makes me sad.

It's ok, shows have dips. If you want something to keep you busy whilst AEW is crap try NXT.

Bianca absolutely stole that segment.

Velveteen Dream being back adds some much-needed character work for NXT, his return reminded me a bit of how Jericho used to come back.
