Pretty sure I'll flip to AEW 100% of the time when Matt Riddle comes onto the screen for NXT. I just can't even stand looking at the guy.

Give him a shot. Watched him a bunch in EVOLVE. The bro gimmick is give or take, but his in ring talent is unmistakable.

I don't enjoy Riddle too much. Kinda surprised since he's supposed to be the second coming of 2002/03 Brock but whatever.

AEW's been really good so far.

Stu vaulting out of the ring with not Kazarian (who?) running after him was amazing.

Fashion Police are also a channel-changer to a lesser extent. They do a good job mind you, but the gimmick is more than played out by now.

I started the night on NXT, but I guess I need to switch my default setting to AEW for a bit.

Beyond the wide eyes being overplayed, it's really just not how competitors generally react when an opponent does something surreal. It's much more believable to react with frustration on the order of "are you ****ing kidding me." Just find me a CB who walks away from an insane circus catch with wide eyes or something in the family of wide eyes.

It worked really well in that Taker moment with Shawn once though.

That centerfielder guy last night that threw his glove instead of catching the ball. He had those eyes because he knew he had it and ****ed up. Stayed on the ground for a minute too just staring around at his teammates

Yeah, DDP coming out was unwanted. Almost surely in his 60's. Was like 42 in 98 I think.

Was hoping for TYBs and got MJF/DDP. Quite a downgrade.

idk how JR calls TYBs "the best tag team in the business" after losing to PP two weeks ago. The best team is the one that wins the titles next week. That's in kayfabe ofc but as far as ability, yeah, TYBs are the best but let's keep this in kayfabe, JR.

Actually I kind of messed that up. He wasn't a Cody ally at that PPV. Brandi ran interference against Dustin, and DDP came out and carried her out to remove the unfair advantage. But then Cody went face to reconcile with Dustin after the match, so it still sort of follows that he's generally a Rhodes ally.
