Yeah, I wish I had nominated Eddie/Lesnar from No Way Out 2004 but that is literally the only qualm I had with the bracket. Very well done.

Yeah I nominated the HBK and God vs Vince and Shane match as a joke but w/e it's still better than 90% of the ppv matches this year.

I thought you were kidding. Then I saw Meltzer gave it high marks. Then I thought I'd come off as a hypersensitive Christian if I questioned it. Hence, it is in the bracket. There are many ways to become the greatest match of all time...

The Flair/Steamboat matches seeded too low! This tournament is pretty cool tho, HBK/Razor is my vote.

Man some of those first round match-up's are really close. I'm gonna predict at least three 12 seeds or higher advance out of the first round.

+1 for HBK/Razor obv. Rewatched Bulldog/Owen earlier and that's awesome too but doesn't come close to the ladder match. Btw this wasn't the first WWE ladder match - there was one between Bret and HBK in 92 or 93 but I don't think it was televised; I remember having it on some Bret Hart VHS.

Just watched both matches, HBK/Razor just had more of an "it" factor for me, so that match gets my vote. I loved the dynamic in the Owen/Bulldog match, especially the way they countered each others moves, but the ending wasn't very exciting. It was a RAW match and it served their story line afaik, but if you just look at the one match, a roll up finish is disappointing.

My only complaint about the ending was that it was largely a direct copy of the Bret-Bulldog ending from Wembley.

kind of an ironic match since Meltzer gave 5* to punk/cena and the last match he had given 5* to in wwe was that Taker/HBK match. I've still yet to see that HiaC match so looking forward to watching it in the near future.

I love that match so much. That's the most I've ever seen anyone bleed in a match, my only knock on it would be the finish.

Haha, as I looked to see what I thought of your prediction, I realized that in two of the 13 v. 4 matchups, the 4 seed was Bret vs. Perfect from KOTR '93. Thankfully I had my work saved from when I was building it and realized which of the 4 seeds I was missing; the northeast region now accurately reflects Flair v. Savage from WM VIII as the 4 seed as I originally meant it to.

As to your prediction, I'd take the under on your number of three upsets from the 12/13/14/15/16 seeds, but wouldn't be shocked if you were right.

Sure, all discussion is welcome. It's really a hell of a first draw for that JBL/Eddie match, but if it can upset Flair/Steamboat then you have to think it has the voting strength to get to the Sweet 16 at least.

By the way, I just realized that there isn't a world title match amongst the four #1 seeds, and none of the #1 seeds were the main event on their own show. That's kind of a kooky fact.

I would honestly be surprised if it wins, but it really is one of my favorite matches ever, and was the first big match in one of my top 5 feuds of all time.

I haven't looked through them all yet, but is there a Sting/Vader match anywhere in the brackets?
