I just got done watching this again. Man Heyman and JR are the absolute nuts on commentary. I always lol at the end when JR says "They might as well urinate on The Rock."

Just finished watching the entire Steamboat/Flair trilogy and having J.R. as the commentator for all the matches was a very nice touch. He teamed with Terry Funk in the 2/3 match and Terry sounded like he'd be a good commentator. I wonder if J.R. and Solie ever did a match together.

Well, I gave seeding and bracket-making a shot. Some notes: in seeding, I wasn't just seeding objective quality or personal preference, but was seeding how strong I thought these matches were in terms of vote-getting on this board. However, I even tweaked that a bit when it came to matchups that show up more than once. For instance, the second ladder match between Razor and HBK would objectively be higher in a vacuum, but I think it comes off weaker than its predessor at WM X, so that hurt its seeding.

I tried to bracket it so that rematches between two competitors were booked into the same region. I did this so we didn't end up with something like Flair v. Steamboat or whatever showing up twice in the Final Four. I figure that it makes it more interesting to have a number of unique competitors in the Final Four...so this will make some regions a bit stronger than others, but I felt that a bit of imbalance was better than a Final Four without diversity. Of course, there's a reasonable chance we'll see HBK show up more than once in the Final Four, since he shows up in 1/4 of the matches of this tourney.

Anyway, this is just my proposal. It can be edited to re-seed, add/remove matches, etc. But I thought since this thread was languishing for the past week that I'd throw this up there.

Oops. One thing I do see is that I would have to change the bracket so that the winner of 1-16 plays the winner of 8-9 in the second round rather than the winner of 2-15.

I'll wait on doing that until I see what people think of using this bracket, or what other changes it might need.

Well, the poll option on 2p2 would be nice, but then again it would probably annoy many to have a bunch of different poll threads cluttering the first page of the forum. While it works in OOT to lock the Ms. OOT threads because the forum moves fast enough that locked threads get bumped to prior pages, we're not nearly at that level of traffic, and it will take 63 polls to crown a #1.

Anyway, rmt is the OP of this whole thing, so I'm interested in what he had in mind.
