fwiw i thnk lesnar based on getting Overeem down and overeem gassing. I think Brock comes in inshape for this fight feeling much better after having his disease properly sorted, and overeem hasn't beat too many good wrestlers. Obv anything can happen and overeem could KO brock on the feet in the first like Cain did, but I think brock will get him down and I don't think overeem can submit him or escape, and I think overeem will gas, as he looked like $h!t vs ferdum.

Cerorone has only ever legit lost to Ben Henderson. Varner was a DQ. His only real MMA losses are to Bendo, and he was undefeated 28-0 as a pro kickboxer. Dude is a stud, and although Diaz is obv very good, he's gonna be severely outclassed by Ceronne. Guys lke Olivera and Siver would be good exciting fights vs Diaz, and look at how lopsided both those were for Ceronne. I think if I was to bet this card, i'd be piling it on Ceronne, and I might make a play for brock but that fight is MUCH higher variance.

Also, I think Gustaffson wins. I think Hendricks is live to upset Fitch b/c usually 2 wrestlers end up standing, and I think Hendricks has the better striking. We saw fitch get rocked my Mike Pierce. Fitch might be looking past this fight to the winner of Diaz and Condit, so although it's a longshot, i think Hendricks has a real shot.

the diaz brothers might not be polished public speakers, but i get the impression the cerrone is likely a bigger scumbag than either of them. doesn't have anything to do with who wins the fight of course.

Why do you think cerrone is a bigger scumbag? I dont get that at all. He tried to approach nate b4 their fight was booked and say hi and nate called him a name and wanted none of it. He talks trash during all his fights to his opponents, even when he's losing...

As someone who has trained and competed in wrestling and/or bjj my whole life, people with that kind of attitude to their fellow competitor are generally disliked. Use whatever word you like. Classless, scummy, or just unfriendly. It doesn't much matter, i just don't get why so many people LOVE the Diaz brothers. I've met, trained with, and hung out with a lot of fighters in my life. The only one i've ever not liked is Nate Diaz. Him and his Stockton boys (not including his brother or any other fighters in this) are the kind of guys that try to pick a fight with you at a Vegas nightclub b/c you're talking to a pretty girl they've been staring at all night who has no idea who they are and is genuinely afraid of them. True story.

i think i first got a negative impression of cerrone when he kicked or kneed ed ratliff like 3 times in the groin in their fight when ratliff got off to a good start against him and nothing i've seen or heard from him since has really changed my opinion of him.

fwiw i don't particularly like nate diaz either, but i think nick is awesome and i don't get the impression that they have similar personalities at all, the only reason i spoke of them as the diaz brothers was because you lumped them together (unfairly imo) in your post.

what i love about nick diaz (besides the way he fights) is that when someone asks him a question he usually says what he really thinks instead of some fake rehearsed or cliched answers that have become standard to hear from athletes and other famous figures. for whatever reason the dishonesty of someone like kobe bryant repeating lines his PR and marketing people came up with for him has always really bothered me.

I agree actually. I think it was unfair of me to lump them together, it's just what always seems to happen. I don't mind Nick Diaz at all. I like to watch him fight and I think he's really good. I don't care to hear about his money problems, but I do like the authenticity of him as a fighter and a person as u mentioned. I don't like Nate b/c when I met him he was just like he seems on TV, a punk, a bully, no one you'd really wanna hang out with. I think Nick is a lot more quiet than Nate, who seems to have the classic, run-mouth-have-tough-older-brother syndrome. I like to watch them both fight, they're both talented, I just can't understand getting behind Nate Diaz or liking his attitude. He thinks the world owes him something.

I can't remember the Ratcliff fight specifically but I'd imagine they were unintentional. I've watched Cerrone since his early WEC days and while I thought he got fired up a bit and made people fight, I never thought he was dirty.

I think they both have the same attitude. It is just much harder to get behind Nate because he has a losing record in the time frame that his brother has gone undefeated in. Nate seems like more of a punk because he just is not that good.

So Diaz didn't make weight and clocked in at 157. Cerrone let it go and Diaz is going to fight at 157. I think I'm going to put some money down on Cerrone, he's at -250 though. I want to cheer along with Cerrone as he beats the life out of Diaz.

I like the bet just b/c I think Cerrone is going to win a very high % of the time. I'm having trouble envisioning a submission he could catch Cerrone in. Diaz actually did make weight, just not n the first try. He came in at 157, but got down to 156. For non title bouts the 155 weight limit has a one pound allowance (156.) Probably just shows that Diaz hard a hard time getting down to lightweight after his failed stint at welterweight. That being said I wouldn't count on Diaz gassing. I think Nate Diaz only lost one 3rd round in his MMA career. Still though, it's find a submission or lose for Nate, and Cerrone has only been taped once, by Ben Henderson in a jump-in guillotine.

Just put down $250 on Cerrone. I might put a little on Brock, he's at +125. I'm pretty confident on my Cerrone pick. Brock/Overeem has a higher variance, the fight can go in a few ways. Also there's a bit of an unknown with how Brock will do coming back from his illness.

Yeah I put some money on the main event ending in a KO.A sub seems unlikely and no way it goes the distance.

Lesnar did submit a "full-body-cramp" 'd Carwin, and Overreem may fatigue since he carries a lot of muscle and his training camp was heavily interumpted my moving gyms to Vegas, then going home to see his sick mother, then going to gGermany for steroid testing ect.

It's probably a good bet but it's no lock. I had a bet like that in Maynard Edgar 3, but for it to go the distance. I was like Edgar can take all Maynard has got and Maynard has never been stopped either. Then Edgar KO'd him out of nowhere in the 4th. Anything can happen. What price did u get?
