while i would be shocked to see Mir take Overeem down i don't see how anyone can say "if brock didn't take him down" as if Overeem even got tested in the wrestling department. I know rogan creamed his pants and yelled about stuffed takedowns, but really, did he?
Brock looked lethargic, didn't shoot for any td attemps, only grabbed a sloppy single which he let go without much resistance.

If I'm not remembering the fight accurately, please remind me and I'll go back and look at it again.

brock never really tried to take him down fwiw and brock had put everyone on their back even wrestler so i don't doubt he could have put overeem on his back

werdum is a little more of an absolute. he cannot beat overeem if overeem refuses to go to the ground because he is incapable of taking him down.

mir is bigger and stronger than werdum and i could see him having a better shot at taking overeem down but it's not like he's an elite wrestler and he's not going to be able to overpower overreem like he did nog.

the worst matchup for overeem is honestly brock but brock didn't seem like he even wanted to win.

ps i loled really hard when rogan got excited about brock using leg kicks. i always get a good laugh at how much rogan loves the leg kick but wtf at brock being able to stand and trade kicks with overeem. at least try and take him down ffs. it's like the wrestlers in the ufc sign a contract not to take anyone down for the 1st two min of any fight.

nah I'm pretty sure overeem will cause a buzz little by little I"ve been following him since his pride days he's a class act and he's a BEAST people will be talking about this dude. Plus this deal with FOX will launch UFC to the top of combat sports. Even here in Bolivia mofo's have mma tournaments and Fox Sports shows payperview events free. Can't wait to see this sport in 10 years

I really want to watch this fight. I just know a few sites where the event will be shown. I think Ustream has a ppv version. Justin has some channels. Greenfeedz.com has a good feed. Please post other links if you know.
