To me, that was extra dumb.

And on another note, the ring currently has two people I watched on Monday nite when I was in high school in the 1990s.

Nothing will top this for line of the night:

Cole: Pat and Happy Corbin were in the Colts locker room just dreaming one day of making it to the WWE.

This is probably the worst line of the 2000's.

I have zero recollection of SummerSlam 2021? I am Jack’s complete lack of surprise.

I'm not remotely current on the product, but it's hard to find an emotional investment for this match. Like, surely they wouldn't be silly enough to let Brock end the title reign? Vince isn't even around anymore to blame for that level of absurdity.

Yeah, like if Brock was to end the title reign it should have been Wrestlemania. No reason to let Brock end it now

knock on wood

Committing so many days to this title reign and frequently emphasizing how long it's been...giving that rub to Brock at any point would just be insane to me. They already showed what happens when they give a historic rub to Brock without any future plan of how to pass it on to anyone else.

While HHH only bears a small amount of responsibility for the contents of this SummerSlam (which I've enjoyed when I've been watching), he's still 100% on the hook for all match results. That part doesn't get a grace period. Roman absolutely has to retain here.

After significant time expense, the tractor lays Roman gently down as a mother lays an infant down in his crib.

The juice was not worth the squeeze on that spot.

Naturally it drew a brief "this is awesome" chant.

That was a much better use of the tractor, spectacle wise

Definitely. I just don't know where it leaves us for a final spot since there essentially is no ring now.

You can't really have a triple-threat last man standing, right? You can't really do the mid-match cash-in here.

Were going with the X7 ending then?

I suppose Theory could wait until both men are laid out dead and then cash in and have them both counted down.

Well Reigns is already the heel, right? That seems quite a bit different than X7.

Meh I can see the X7 comparison, ignoring allegiances. It does evoke some thought of that.

I meant without the turn, just the "Beat your opponent to death with a foreign object" ending

That specific last part was an ADR/Big Show LMS ending from that brief ADR face run.

Not really sure the ref should be counting while one of the competitors is actively piling things onto the other.

Also, holy **** "Theory" looks like a giant pile of loser after this

Alright, well on varying levels I enjoyed everything I watched. Granted that it helps that I just tuned out 100% when Dominik Mysterio came out, since that would have very likely made the first sentence untrue. But it seems like it was a good showing.

I knew there was a reason I remembered this crap. It really is a pretty great moment, and I was very optimistic that babyface ADR could be really strong.
