There is a rumor that more than 30 people will be in the men’s rumble. What are we doing in that case?

Ugh, I have no idea. That would be really lame. Also, thats why WWE was stupid in announcing so many participants, paints them into a corner limiting surprises.

Open to hearing suggestions.

Do we have 10 people interested in joining? I know I have a buddy that would do it.

I think having those people as “standbys” and randomizing the full 40 person list in case it happens makes the most sense. If it goes on as a 30 person rumble, we go with the original list.

Hypothetical numbers 31+ wouldn't be any lock to win any prizes. In the event that 31+ enter, seems like the thing to do is just to split the prize surplus among those who did have winning entries.

For example, if 31+ wins but others from the first 30 get runner-up/longest-lasting/most eliminations, then those three picks get $100 apiece rather than $50.

LKJs answer seems logical.

Mdot, the problem with that is if they went over we don't know to what degree. Just because they go over 30 doesnt mean they're choosing 40.

We can't re-draw for spots after the match concludes. Too messy/ruins the fun of sweating the match with your horse.

Feels dirty to me to award rumble winner money to someone who didn't win.

Idk....I still feel like they'll be 30? Would be really lame and ruin all the promos Heymans cut about Brock destroying 29 other men.

They would already be getting enhanced runner-up money under the reapportionment plan above, as long as that person actually makes it to the final two. IMO it's better for the hypothetical consolation prizes to go $100/$100/$100 rather than having the runner-up getting as premium of a split as $200/$50/$50.

I dunno; if that person isn't the runner-up, they're not the runner-up. IMO your wrestler has to actually attain the achievement for the prize to pay out.

I think it will just be 30 too, but I suppose redirkulous should rule on the above scenario in advance just to be sure.

In each of the first two years of two Rumbles, they’ve done one in the middle (third match one year, fourth the other) and one at the end.

The high roller is a little trickier. There is no prize for runner up.

So by the LKJ method it would be $500 for most eliminations and $500 for time survived. Not sure how I feel about that.

Then again, I still don't believe it's going to happen.

Every wrestler that comes out after 30 should go to whoever drew number 30. Only fair way to do it imo unless it's the women's rumble then we should do LKJ's method...
