I haven't really watched WWE for years but have always thought I'd go to a Wrestlemania/Royal Rumble some day. I'd be fuming if I flew to the US and paid thousands for tickets for this.

What's the board's take on this-- for years I've subscribed to the theory that making the winner get an automatic shot at the WM main event is bad for the Royal Rumble.

The reason being of course that it telegraphs which 95% or more of the entrants have zero chance.

Suggested fix: give the winner the money in the bank briefcase instead? Give the winner an auto title shot at the next ppv? I dunno.
