I think they've somehow stumbled into a way where you can have a guy sell merch to little kids while being the most over heel for live crowds.

You cannot tell me the Reigns at 30 to lose to Orton wasn't intentional to get the live crowd reaction they wanted.

It certainly was.

You're arguing that he's already a heel, right? So nothing would really change at Mania. Business as usual. Super Roman beats an old man, proceeds to get booed and trash thrown at him as he shakes Taker's hand and then Taker hoists Roman's hand while pointing at him. The only way this could get better is if it were the main event over Brock/Goldberg for the belt

What I mean is while storyline wise he's a face, they can use him to get anyone over at any time and they're well aware of it.

But it also has the effect of turning all the heels face.

Most of the heels are already face or just DOA for the live crowd. Nobody gets boos anymore except Roman for the most part until they say something about the crowd being ugly or the sports team being terrible.

The narrative of keeping a guy face because the kids buy their merchandise while trying to force the adults into rooting for them is so backwards because the kids will like and root for and buy the merchandise of whoever you tell them the top face is.

You're not force feeding a guy because his merch sells. His merch sells because he's being force fed.

I think Miz and Corbin get boos for the most part. You are right that almost no one is going to be booed by 100% of the audience, but I think those two get their fair share of the boos

Also, they manipulate how much someone's merch sells by offering children's sizes for only certain wrestlers who they think appeal to little kids.

In case there was any doubt..

According to F4WOnline.com, one of the main reasons why Roman Reigns was in this year’s Royal Rumble match was to setup his match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33.

As to why Reigns entered the match at #30, it’s being said WWE wanted Randy Orton’s Rumble win to get the biggest possible babyface reaction it could get, so they used Reigns in the #30 spot. WWE knew that having Reigns enter at #30, which is sometimes used for big Rumble surprise names or returns, would draw a lot of heat from the fans, which in turn would help Orton get a babyface reaction when he eventually won the match when he finally eliminated Reigns.
Need a babyface reaction? Just put them over your top babyface.

If it's RR vs Taker at WM, what's the o/u on Tombstone kick outs by Reigns? 2.5?

not even sure Undertaker can lift him at this stage in his career

Only people on the roster that can probably safely take a tombstone are like Ellsworth and Alexa Bliss

That has to mean they're planning to turn Reigns heel by retiring Taker right?

I would really enjoy giving Alexa Bliss a tombstone.

This is true. By heel turn I mean the announcers acknowledging it, and booking him against faces. A feud against Taker is a step in the right direction.

They should make R-Truth show up on the wrong show, have him come out, then someone tells him he's not on this show, then he does his "my bad" thing.

Did the Golden Truth angle ever lead to anything? All I remember is that, at first Goldust wanted Truth as a partner and Truth refused. Then Truth wanted Goldust as a partner, and Goldust refused.

I vaguely remember that they ended up teaming up. But I have no idea what happened next.
