Send out Batista and have Reigns finish him in 0.9 seconds

Has the Rumble ever not delivered aside from 1999 when Austin and Vince were the final two?

Obviously the lack of positive reaction to Reigns involves other underlying issues, but that put aside, how would you suggest to book a Reigns rumble win to get him the least heat possible?

I'm thinking a final four of Reigns, Big Show, a returning Sheamus, and maybe Rusev. Sheamus has eliminated Daniel Bryan, Ambrose, Ziggler, and others putting heat on him. But fans still might **** over the entire thing.

Thoughts? Is there any way to book Reigns tonight if he's the planned winner that gets him cheered significantly?
Have Lesnar retain the belt by pinning Rollins. Cena then enters the rumble and ends up final two with Reigns. Fans in Philly would be so pissed that Cena is in both main events that they would cheer Reigns.

93 was pretty bad, but not atrocious. The 2003 booking was blah. But mostly it's at least somewhat fun.

Given where this event is being held, no.

Still think they could have had Santino go over ADR (iirc?) and work it out so he drops the title shot before Mania, would have been GOAT booking

The mind **** of Jericho losing to Sheamus in whatever year that was was pretty ****ing bad. ADR winning was lol. Last year, even outside of the Batista thing, was ****ing terrible.

Cena in at number two, eliminates #1 Daniel Bryan instantly. A bunch of local jobbers come out for the next 28 people, Cena eliminates them all immediately. Titantron reveals that the rest of WWE superstars are stuck in traffic. Suddenly, as Cena eliminates number 30, we see a blur of black running by the camera in the back. Reigns enters as number 31 wam bam thank you mam Reigns wins ship it.

There'd have to be some confusion and a 2 winner scenario for them to pull of Reigns without being **** on. Then have him beat the other guy for the WM spot in some backwater town.

Off the top of my head, I've watched 90, 92, 97, 99, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2011 and 2013 this week.

Watching atm and never seen the title match. Pretty awesome. Amazing how JBL tries to bury Bryan. "I don't know if these people realize Bryan was in the first match...and he lost."

I still think 1992 was my favorite RR of all time. You had that nice little interaction with Jake/Savage in the middle when they had their awesome feud. And I'll still never understand how the hell Hogan comes out being the face after being a sore loser and pulling Sid out from the outside. I mean F*** that guy!

In the original version of the 92 Rumble the crowd actually cheers when Hogan is eliminated and when Flair wins. They edited the crowd later.

Edited the commentary too, because Monsoon called the whole thing too reasonably.

I'll never understand how Jake/Savage didn't have a match at WM8 or really even a proper blow off match. It was so hot and then....nothing.

Funny how back then Vince's obsession in 93 or so was with focusing on the young guys even if it meant not giving a **** about some of your best wrestlers, and now he is afraid to focus on the young guys, even ones that are some of his best wrestlers.

I think what happened was Savage just beat him pretty soundly and then Jake was fed to the Undertaker after his face turn and jobbed out because he was leaving for WCW.

I could be wrong but I thought the end of their feud was Savage winning a short 5 minute match at SNME and then Jake watching from the curtain and saying that it wasn't over. It sounds like the end of the feud when writing it but if you see the camera work after the match, you can tell it's not meant to be the end.

Isn't that where Jake tried to hit Liz with a chair when they walked through the curtain and Undertaker grabbed the chair, starting their feud?
