the rock's dad today.

but he was way way over with the fans in the 1970s and 1980s... generally, black wrestlers were very popular with the fans, but Rocky was a cut above that.

Funny, I hear a lot of people calling him The Rock’s dad. But I always thought of The Rock as Rocky Johnson’s son.

when i look at wrestler ratings, i always think the raters underestimate how OVER the wrestler was with the fans... as i noted earlier, rocky was way over with the fans. maybe not as much in WWF as elsewhere.

and for heels, it would be the opposite of OVER..... someone like the sheik. people always knew at some level that wrestling was fake, but the sheik was real to people at the time. scary shiiittt
