You never know what Austin you will get from week to week on the podcast; inconsistent quality.

I think he sometimes has problems filling two shows a week.

OSWReview has only gotten better. Their WM IX ep was one of the best produced pieces of media I saw in the last few years period. Let alone a podcast/vodcast

Pat Paterson on Jericho's in hilarious.

It was hilarious in a bad way when Pat was talking about how Vince didn't like (professionally speaking, not personally) Shawn Michaels or Bret Hart at first and Pat had to work and work to get them pushed and even keep them with the company.

This post made me check them out- and it's really good. I don't watch the video version, so I'm missing something. I don't care for some of the casual racism, and one of the guys has the worst ****ing taste in wrestling ever- but the presentation basically makes up for all of that.

I just noticed it and DL'd but Mick Foley is on Marc Maron's WTF Podcast dated either yesterday or today. He was a guest maybe 2 years ago and it was a good episode. Maron also had Punk on twice, the 2nd time was about 9 weeks before he walked out.

You're missing at least 75% of it by not watching. The video editing is basically professional. 2 of those dudes are full time physicians including the guy who edits it (Jay, the main host) and I have no idea how he pulls it off.

That said, they just started an attitude era plot and I thought the first ep was below par for them. Still good. But not great like the Hogan era stuff was.

Here's a working link to the WMIX show. I promise I'm not a shill. I just think it's THAT good:

Yeah- I'll be watching the new ones in video (but honestly I think it's fine just as audio, the visual gags aren't really my thing, but seeing the matches for context is nice).

Ric Flair is going to get his own podcast. It was announced when he was a guest on Taz's podcast. If he lets it flow freely like he does when he is a guest on podcasts, it will be greatly entertaining.

From Jesse Ventura on Piper's podcast, I learned Vince came up with the idea for Jesse to be a heel commentator and even would tell him what to bury and what not to. Unfortunately Vince no longer has the announcer management touch he once did.

While true, it's also Michael Cole. Heenan could feed him every word he'd say and he'd still suck.

Billy Corgan on Talk is Jericho. Yes, the Smashing Pumpkins guy, and now senior producer of talent and creative in TNA.

He does have good guests from time to time, but boy can he be annoying. Two negative highlights come to mind:

- he was making fun of the 10 worst cover songs of all times, and followed it up playing his bands cover of ABBA's SOS. And this cover is much worse than everything he made fun of...

- when he remembered 9/11 he implied that the people on the planes were a bunch of pussies and he and his wrestling buddies totally would have saved everyone if they were on the plane... May actually be true, but is an incredibly douchebaggy thing to say. After that I pretty much stopped listening.

Jericho's podcast is completely reliant on the guest. Jericho solo is terrible, as is tossing softballs to WWE employees Jericho. He was actually good with Corgan, and Corgan is very wrestling savvy.

Flair's podcast is up. First three guests: Bret Hart, Dave Meltzer, Kurt Angle. All good but like the Hart and Meltzer ones best.

I am finding myself really enjoying the Taz podcast. Well let me restate that. I am really enjoying what they call the fantasy drafts, but what are really top 10 lists done by him, his producer, and Mike Tenay. Who knew Mike Tenay is so funny. I recommend giving one of those a listen

Flair and Bret must have stopped hating each other at some point?

They talk about that a bit on the podcast. Flair seems to have just forgotten the issues and says it was just people talking. Hart says people misunderstood his comments and that he always respected Flair, although he does seem to take a subtle jab at Flair's work if I remember right. Mick Foley was on Flair's podcast recently and him and Flair have become friends now also. Flair is the type of person who wants to look back on things positively and have fun with people; not really a bitter guy most of the time.
