Huge convincing win by Drew McIntyre over Hornswoggle tonight. Glad to see Drew get some important momentum back.

Guys really need to focus on the fundamentals. so many times they could get a win if they just hooked the leg, but you'll see good wrestlers showboat and make arrogant or lazy covers which only get the two count.

why do the commentators get so excited when they go for a pin after doing there signature moves? they never get the 3 count unless they do one of their big moves like their finishers

i know this coz i play wwe '12

Thesis: Dolph Ziggler would be winning a heck of a lot more matches if he wasn't so worried about showing off all the time.

It's probably worth it to him in merchandise money to do that though. He probably gets more from shipping more Ziggler shirt purchases than he would from a few extra winner's purses. You see the same concept apply in TV poker all the time.

The showing off is a factor but I don't think it's the main reason for him losing so often. When Ziggler takes his opponents offense it looks like it hurts him so much more then everyone else. And over a match that really wears him down. It has been going on for a long time now and he's not improving. So I'm kinda left wondering if Ziggler has what it takes to be a professional wrestler. If he wants to be one, he has to learn how to hulk up.

Question: Is Ryback being compensated in terms of winners purse for wrestling in these very dangerous handicap matches? Thus far he's managed to hold his own quite well. It seems, however, to be a needless risk--one I hope he's being paid well for.

Every time I see a No Disqualification match I shake my head in disbelief at how stupid the wrestlers are. Why use trash can lids and steel chairs when you could just bring a gun to the ring and shoot your opponant?

The ref couldn't disqualify you, and if the bullet hits you're a near certainty to get the winners purse. I know the good guys might not want to kill someone, but if you're a baddie then causing a fatality is an added bonus. I'll bet someone like Kane has murdered loads of people both in and out of the ring.

Now some wise ass is going to say "But if someone shoots a gun the cops will arrest him".

But remember, in a no DQ match ANYTHING IS LEGAL. You can quite literally get away with murder. So why doesn't anyone?

You know that is a good point. Also, why couldn't they try to remove someone's body part in the match as well since it is technically legal and that the ref can't DQ them. The only time that happened, that I know of, is when Foley lost that ear.

Speaking of Foley, does he has like one of those weird mental ability in his brain, like multiple personalities, where he just become all these different characters?

I want to discuss wrestlers who failed to live up to their potential.
A lot of names come to mind, but I got an under-the-radar pick: Disco Inferno. This is a guy with impeccable strength and technique, but his inability to stay focused cost him numerous matches. With the reduced stigma today for treating mental health, I would like to see what Disco could do if he had someone to treat his obvious ADHD. I mean, we're talking a possible first-ballot hall-of-famer if he could just save the dancing for the club.

Disco had a gambling problem. I think he was throwing matches.

Disco was also an avid poker player and gambler. Probably betting against himself.

So the mafia was paying him more than the winner's purse? Interesting.
